We booked because it was close to the arena

That the one room I had reserved was not ready for check-in. I had given the room as a gift for Christmas to my family. Very disappointed that we could not get the room at all.

In the heart of downtown Winnipeg, this hotel is not the 4 star hotel it likes to market itself as. It is run down, the building on the outside and the inside. When I entered the lobby it smelled of urine. I later found out that homeless people enter the lobby during the night and urinate in the vents, and the smell of urine circulates in the air, housekeepers never know how to control the airborne stench. Outdated carpets and decor are the least of your worries. I noticed an odour of old marijuana smoke in the room I was staying and later found out through the reviews that this hotel is a party hotel on weekends and hosts many teenage college parties. Anyway I was unlucky enough to stay on a weekend and would not recommend !

inside of the hotel lobby is beautiful, but the rooms has low budget look. for the price they charge they need to upgrade all the rooms.
