Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa Downtown

Let me start by saying my room was fantastic. It was spacious. It had all the amenities and the bathroom was a great size. The staff were extremely friendly and in the lobby you are able to buy food including microwave meals and you can heat them in the lobby microwave yourself. Unfortunately for me as a lone female traveller the location was not ideal although you are in the heart of downtown and everything is close by due to drug addiction and mental health individuals the area can be quite unsafe. This was forewarned to me by my tour guide half an hour before I arrived in Ottawa when we got off our bus there was one individual walking up and down casing our bus waiting for our luggage to come out. There were also a few individuals who would sit outside our hotel on the wall near the car park and a few times people were followed. I know this has nothing to do with the hotel and it’s a shame because the hotel itself and the staff are so lovely but I feel like I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t let other future travellers know about this.

Centrally located at edge of The Byward Market. Beds comfortable, room clean, helpful staff.

Tv service was not too great

Very clean, spacious with friendly staff. Pool and fitness center. Close ro many attractions.

Great property

Beautiful room in the heart of downtown. Very comfortable bed, thick towels, water was hot and plentiful and room was quiet. Would definitely return here for a longer stay to visit the area.
