An-Airidh Bed & Breakfast Portree

We were so happy with this accommodation. The room was very nice and the beautiful view over the lake had a different look to it over the course of the day. Allen is a delightful person who goes out of his way to be the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing his stories about Skye! Breakfast was great and the parking was appreciated. Book early!!!

Lovely stay in Portree with such beautiful ocean & Mountain views. Downtown was just a 15 minute walk which we looked forward to each day. Our room was quite spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was very good, arriving at our door each morning. Our host Alan gave us lots of insider hiking/adventure tips that you don’t read about in the travel guides - all so awesome.

The view from the room is so special! Alan was the perfect host, warmly welcoming us with lots of helpful info. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were brought a delicious breakfast on a tray each morning (which I could get used to!), and they left plates and cutlery so that we could eat our own lunch or dinner in our room if we wished to. We easily walked into the main town multiple times so the location is ideal. Lots of parking, and a lovely big garden with benches facing on to the water. Would definitely recommend.

The room is high quality with a great modern bathroom, the view from our room (7) was breathtaking. It was very clean and the breakfast was very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. Alan is a great host and very open with suggestions. The photo is a view from our room.

For Skye this B&B might be good value for money as Skye is expensive and the quality of the room was high but compared to others in Inverness and Fort William it was way more expensive. That at the others the room was serviced daily but not this one is the reason for a 9 and not a 10. The bathroom had towel warmers so they were always dry but you like someone to clean out the rubbish etc daily.

Perfect location--away from town noise, but you can walk to town in 17 min. Lots of choices for breakfast. Alan is the best host you will ever find anywhere--he is lovely. Photo below is what you will see from the enormous window in your room.

Wow! What a wonderful view from our huge window. We saw seals in the Loch. Alan was really welcoming and helpful. He also provided the tasty breakfasts brought to our clean, cosy room. Hot shower over a bath if you prefer a long soak. Restful sleep in the large, very comfortable bed. We appreciated being able to warm up food in the microwave and chill drinks in the small fridge. Cutlery and crockery available. Wine glasses and corkscrew provided. A real home from home experience in a great location. Magical memories made at An- Airidh. Thank you to Alan and Alex.

Outstanding B and B. Wonderful room with fridge and microwave, 2 tables with chairs, self contained with your own entrance. Super bathroom and wardrobe space. Cutlery, plates and washing up facilities provided for use if needed. Super view over the bay. 15 min walk from Portree centre. Really good breakfast, delivered to your room! Alan (never really met Alex) is a brilliant bloke. Nothing too much trouble. He helped us out with a personal issue for which we are really grateful. Recommend 100%. If we need Skye accommodation again An Airidh will be our first choice.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome at An Airidh, Alan and Alex are wonderful hosts - and we loved Oatie the dog!! It is perfectly located in Portree where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. It's an ideal base for exploring the island. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view, and the bonus of watching seals play in the bay each evening! The room was spotless and spacious, with fridge, microwave and plenty of cupboard space to hang clothes, and the bed was so comfortable. The ensuite was also spotlessly clean and spacious with the treat of lovely Arran toiletries. Breakfast was delivered to the room and was excellent with a great choice of continental and cooked options, a perfect start to the day. Alan enhanced our stay so much with lots of recommendations for places to visit around the island, and he had so many interesting stories and legends about Skye! He honestly made our holiday even more wonderful than we'd anticipated. The personal touch from Alan and Alex make An Airidh such a special place, we felt truly at home in this little gem.
