Hyatt Place San Jose, Downtown

They made sure my team was in a quiet area and very helpful. Rooms were clean and service was outstanding. Walking to dinner was easy.

Four things kept this from being 5 stars. First morning there was no hot water (it was fixed within an hour), the vacuum-type toilet is very loud, our bathroom door was incredibly noisy, and the shower faucet location makes it difficult to turn on. Other than that, great breakfast, clean quiet room and extremely friendly staff. Be aware it's $45 a night to park but I suppose that's the norm.

The location of the Hyatt Place San Jose Downtown is perfect for anyone attending a show at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts ...it's right across the street! it's easy to find after leaving the 680 freeway. Within a 5-10 minute walk are located several good restaurants. Although a bit pricy, the covered, locked parking facility at the hotel is very convenient and safe. Our room was clean , comfortable and quiet at night, probably because it looked out on the back rather than the active street in front which might be somewhat noisier, but might have a nicer view. Breakfast was quite good although we both thought the orange juice was kind of watery. For convenience, cleanliness, and comfort, we would both definitely stay here again.

The bed was very hard. It made sleeping difficult.

This property is located close to the convention center (walking distance)….and just a short drive to both the SAP Center and the Improve Comedy Club. Parking is located just feet from the registration area (underground in building next door) and is very clean and secure. It was a nice stay, definitely will be going back.

The only negatives….are that you must get ice down at the registration area (an inconvenience) and the few number if parking stalls for registration.
