The design and aesthetic is lovely though a little worn

We were surprised at how much we liked this hotel. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Many reviewers reported traffic noise from I-10 - and that's fair if you are standing atop the butte looking onto the highway. However, we had a second-floor patio room facing into the resort, and it was VERY quiet. (My husband and I are both sensitive to noise, so that's saying something!) The highway noise in the pool area is mitigated by several rushing waterfalls. They could turn down the music a bit, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it is at other hotels. The fitness center is well-equipped with kettlebells, free weights, machines, straps, and cardio equipment. The "cold" breakfast buffet included tasty oatmeal and lots of fruit, so great value for money (free). Custom omelets and hot foods were available for $6.

We loved this little resort! It was so scenic and comfortable. The pool/hot tub area was great with 2 different pools and 2 hot tubs in shade and sun. We bought great coffee every morning at the market cafe and enjoyed it in the lobby seating area with amazing views. One night we ate in the Top of the Rock restaurant which was delicious!
