DoubleTree by Hilton Collinsville/St.Louis

Ruby at the front desk started off our stay with an amazing, friendly and super helpful check-in! She is a star. The hotel is nice and very spacious- the rooms are well-kept. Showing their age a little.

Breakfast was good but I was not given my breakfast ticket at check in and had to pay extra for my breakfast that was supposed to be included.

Very disappointed that the breakfast offered was not included with the price of the room, but was $17 per person extra.

Old sofa bed didn't work. We were moved to another room that didn't have a refrigerator and the toilet barely worked.

Older. Some rooms with wear and tear. Great for the cost. Attached restaurant was excellent. Very clean.

Check In went quickly, asked for two keys and was provided with two, however one was not keyed to the room. The next morning, took a shower, turning the know to H for hot water. The water was cold. It started to warm up and when I had it go through the shower head, it became cold again. When I told the front desk upon check out, they were apologetic and offered compensation, however I declined. They did say they would look into the issue. Unsure if it was my user error or if something else was going on. The toom itself has some stains by the ac unit.

I loved the layout of this facility as well as the customer service. The restaurant was amazing and the staff was equally as friendly.

We arrived after a six hour drive to learn that the air conditioning did not work. Our room was 80 degrees. Due to the time we got there, needing to eat dinner, and knowing we had another long drive ahead of us the next day, we decided to tough it out. I regret not asking if we could cancel our room and finding another Hilton in the area. We couldn’t sleep with any covers on. Just a miserable night. Had to keep the bathroom door closed because the toilet kept running. Pleather headboards were all scratched up and looked horrible. Overall, it didn’t feel clean. Just really shocked that the headboards looked so bad. I’m honestly surprised that Hilton allows a hotel to be in this condition because this is not up to the typical standards that I am used to seeing. I have had nothing but great experiences at Hiltons over the years until this stay. This will likely be the last time I stay in a Doubletree. I typically stay in Tru hotels and will probably keep doing that in the future.

Couldn't get water from faucet of bathtub for shower. Finally got enough for minimum flow shower. I stayed in room 107 very very noisy with elevator noise. One desk clerk told me no rooms I got on Expedia and they had rooms and I booked it and stayed one night. Not a good experience!
