OYO Hotel Dundee By Crystal Lake

Do not come here unless you have dont have anywhere else to go. The hotel isn’t new at all and is quite old and some rooms arent even furnished. Its basically a scam and has the nerve to be non-refundable. The front desk is quick to get an attitude as well. The room has a smell that gave me a headache. The pillows didn’t smell good and are very flat. The covers were smelly too. The king sises bed was just 2 mattresses pushed together as well. The pool was green and not tended to either.

DO NOT book this hotel if you cannot check in before 11p. We didn't see this and show up at 12a and no one is there and no one pick up the phone that they put at the door. They refused to give us back the money. The pool was soooo dirty. I don't recommend this to anyone.

Nobody at the property when I tried to check in just before midnight. Called the after hours number and left a message. No reply. Called them the next day and they refused to refund my money. Despite nothing on this site or their confirmation about check in before 11PM. They claimed this policy was on their website, but I didn’t book through their website. Property looked like a dump, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Will dispute the charge with my bank. I would avoid it altogether.

First of all, this place is advertised as a hotel, this is nothing like a hotel it's more of a beat up motel...it's nothing like the pictures on website. Walking in you could see mildew on the ceiling, lobby was dark and outdated. When I made my reservation I selected the option to pay on site and when a I got there I was enable to do so because their system for credit card payments was stolen days prior, I had to pay cash or go directly to website. But still had to pay cash for the security deposit. The room...dark (had to use the flashlight of my phone to see), dingy, odd smell, holes in curtains, no blackout curtains, lock was broken from the inside. I kept feeling I was being watched and waiting for someone to walk inside the room; didn't feel safe at all. The whole 2hrs a was there I was looking for somewhere else to stay and I literally ran out of the place. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

We made our reservation and paid for it in advance when we got there we were told they the hotel had canceled our reservation now mind you this is during a hurricane hurricane Milton we have yet this is December 16th 2024 to get our money back they owe us $198.91 and they're saying that we we're there and stayed in our room when they're the ones that canceled us not to mention I saw pictures from other people staying there and the rooms were disgusting full of mold mildew dirty sheets dirty floors walls it was just gross I'm I'm glad I didn't stay there but. If you had a dog or a cat or some kind of animal you got a room they were charging people $300 cash for the animals if you didn't have an animal you didn't get a room we're in our seventies my husband is disabled and we were told we didn't have a room just hours before a hurricane to hit Florida hurricane Milton

Arrived at the hotel was told by the staff that the system was down and that they could not accommodate our reservation they insisted on cash for higher price than we booked ended up having to go stay at another hotel was it sure that we would not be charged and still got charged still fighting to get my money back
