Emerald Valley Inn

Easy self-check in and out. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the shower was nice and hot! We loved the goats and emus right outside our room and the location was fantastic--very close to Lake Crescent and Port Angeles.

Really my only nitpick would be that there was no door or curtain between the two rooms, so a little less privacy than I'd expect for a place advertised as "two rooms".

No electrical plug in bathroom and the mirror that was in the bathroom was hung way too high. If I stood on tiptoe and leaned in, I could only see up to my eyes (im 5'4"). To use my curling iron i had to take a hand mirror and rig it up on a small low table and plug it in on the floor ( cord doesnt reach that far so I had to bend over to use it). Pretty nerve racking as I was giving an early morning business presentation. The coffee pot made a huge thumbing noise while brewing and I was concerned it wasnt going to work. There was shampoo but no cream rinse. That all being said, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. It is obviously a very old place they have done their best to make rooms available. I stayed there in Jan and there was lots of ice on trees and the car so bring a scapper in winter. Fyi, Since its old, the heater is a wall electric kind and the insallation from road noise and weather is limited. Not lots of road noise in Jan., but I imagine there is in the summer (they provide ear plugs and a white noise machine which is a nod to that). This is the first review I have ever left but thought the ladies would like to know all this.

Breakfast at Granny’s cafe was fine. Staff very nice.

I wish tthere were hooks and a night light in the room.

Clean and tidy. Cafe next door is great. The only negative is the road noise but it is quiet during night hours for the most part

Although I prefer to have staffed check-in I have to admit the system worked very well

The bed was comfy

The motel was so damp and the floors were so dirty that it was making mud on the floor - there were tumbleweeds of hair and dust under the bed and a used earplug

Room was clean and comfortable. The on site cafe was excellent. And the property was charming with some farm animals and very nice setting

The location and place is just LOVELY! Design is amazing and bed was comfy. Perfect spot to stop during our roadtrip. The mini farm was just so so cute and you're literally in the middle of the forest which is what we were looking for to disconnect from the city :)

Price is a bit high.
