The Tan Hill Inn

Liked the location. The food was good. The band were really good. The overall atmosphere was great. The breakfast was very good. We met some really great people and had a fun night enjoying the live entertainment.

It just wasn't clean. Understand they cater for hikers and mountain bikers but at least the get the basics right when it comes to cleaning. For £259 I would expect more. We booked the restaurant via booking.com messaging. We should have been informed you are only allowed 90 minutes at the table. Not so much of a problem if there is anywhere else to sit but there wasn't. Had to do the same as everyone else and sit on other reserved tables until asked to move. Sat and had breakfast where none of the other empty tables had been cleared - short staffed? We got the impression that as it's a destination venue it's always going to be busy so they don't have to try too hard.

Room was not heated when we arrived and heating only switched on around 20:30 - and for a cold room the price was too high!

Op zich de sfeer in de pub was goed, en het eten ook.

De kleine kamer met enorme dranger op de deur. Vond een pil op de grond die niet van ons was, slechte schoonmaak. De zeepdispenser in de douche was leeg. Dit gemeld en werden gevuld maar wisten nog niet wat shampoo en douche gel was. We hadden 3 nachten geboekt en er is niemand geweest die naar ons omkeek. Het matras sliep ook niet lekker. Voor 185 euro per nacht is dit echt veel te duur.
