Courtyard by Marriott Austin The Domain Area

My home air conditioning doesn’t work and I needed refuge from the broiling heat. The hotel was a good refuge.

false advertising they advertise a deluxe suite with balcony and when you get there they act like you don’t know what you’re talking about. save your money and dont pay extra

Clean.

Charged twice on two different cards. Multiple front desk staff assured me the payment would be refunded, only refunded the $20 incidental fee. Still charged $116 for one night twice. Phones now not working, they absolutely will not answer a customer service message.

The room itself was spacious love the balcony very clean bed was so comfortable staff was amazing fast check in

I didn’t like the fact it was no pool kids wanted a pool

Outside of the attentiveness of the manager, there was nothing redeeming about this property. The bistro (for which Courtyards are famous) was mediocre and the comped breakfast sandwich was awful. The hotel proper is in poor condition - a single elevator, no central stair, the rooms are in marginal condition and the fitness center is rough. Additionally, while in the “Domain area,” this ain’t the Domain - you’re well over a mile away from the south end of the Domain area, with its walkable dining and shopping. There are other properties better located (unfortunately not available on this visit for me) like the Element. Skip this one.

The property is nice and clean. All staff is welcoming. Restaurant on site is so convenient. Also, walking distance to shopping and other dining!
