Breakfast was great staff great nothing too much trouble

We stayed for our engagement weekend and the staff were great all weekend making sure we had tbe best time.

Just home from this beautiful hotel after a fantastic stay!! We stayed in a gorgeous Seaview room, amazing view!! The Cleanliness is superb and all the staff are so super friendly and cant do enough for you, John in dining room is especially chatty and just so helpful! Breakfast was so tasty and im gluten free and nothing was a bother to them, much appreciated, thank you! We only had evening meal the first night and again it was delicious 😋 All staff are a credit to the hotel, we will be back!!!!

Our second stay (last time was just one night, and this time 3). The staff are the stars of the show, but the building is also beautiful. We sometimes use the bar when in the area, but not staying and really recommend trying that or the restaurant if you want to get a taste for the place. We've stayed in the attic room, which is great for the price, and this time it was an inland king, which was fab. As we were leaving, the brilliant cleaners let us have a quick nosey at the bay view seaview room, which has recently been renovated (a fish wallpaper feature wall), and it was jaw-dropping. We're lucky and travel a lot (we're doing a 50 countries before 50 challenge), but return to Scarborough where we used to live regularly. We use the Premier Inn sometimes, which is also great for what you pay, but we will now always choose The Weston when budget allows. For the cost, it's actually a steal. The breakfast is lovely (be specific about the items you order, for example say 2 of the eggs you'd like, as it's not a buffet and you choose and ask for your items. You also get a choice of 3 things to start - the yoghurt, compote and granola is my favourite. Maybe adding halloumi to the list would keep the menu ideas fresh, but I understand the cost of adding items and reprinting etc. Thank you to all the staff we encountered and all we didn't. We met John from the restaurant last summer on his very first day, and he remembered us beautifully. Lovely to meet newer staff member Ashley too. Thanks as always to the reception staff who always go the extra mile. The young staff are also excellent. 5-star at 3/4 star prices for the area, and as rooms and other communal areas like hallways continue to get spruced up over time, it will be even better. The hall carpets are really clean and create a great impression as you head to the room. There's a pride here that's incredible for the price. My only note... The Jack Vettriano prints on one of the hallway floors could be replaced by more cool hotel shots, like what you've done with the hotel name tiles photo. Maybe contact Richard Heeps whose a really cool photographer from Cambridge. He could maybe do some amazing shots of the hotel interior, exterior, views and staff - look at his prints for ideas. His 'ice' ice cream shots are amazing! You may even get them for a lower price for the price of a few-day stay, as he told me when I enquired if he's done any shots of Scarborough, he hasn't, but would love to. He may use the stay as a chance to get lots of other Scarborough shots. I'd photograph him photographing if he agreed and would send it to Yorkshire Life/The Yorkshire Post/local press etc for free publicity afterwards, going along how you celebrate the traditional but are modern lines. Just an idea though, as you're all doing a brilliant job already. The Weston is old-fashioned service with a modern twist, which is right up our street. With thanks, Lianna (& Richard)

We could not fault this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, rooms were spotless, as were all the communal areas of the hotel and there was an attention to detail that is so rare these days. It really did feel like the staff were one big family, working as a team but just so happy to provide a service with lots of smiles! Just what we needed for our holiday.

As a couple we loved this hotel. The food was delicious, the rooms were super comfortable, everywhere was spotless and every single member of staff went out of their way to make you feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning!
