Very friendly staff

Some decorating needed in our room & bathroom

Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet with a nice view. Dinner was excellent with very good friendly efficient service. All interactions with the staff were excellent and helpful. A quick check in process. Got the impression that the staff were well trained and knowledgeable.

To be fair it would be nitpicking to look for any problems because we enjoyed our stay( our second one ) and will no doubt return. The only comment I would make is that our room 8, at the top of the second floor landing up a steep staircase would probably be vulnerable in a fire situation lower down. Some thought about fire extinguishers being located on this landing near the three rooms might be a good idea. Or a another fire assessment being made on this, just saying!

Our room outdated tired looking no draws no bedside cabinets 6 coat hangers bathroom window didnt open no where to put our clothing apart from leaving them on floor or in case water was really slow to drain in shower and sink making it difficult to use cracks in ceiling no fridge it is classed as 4 star pub yes accomadation 2 star and there was a party of 10 of us all in different areas and all had same view on the rooms as us.

The room was comfortable. Good size for one adult and three children. Good selection of tea and coffee. Good value for kinet for the room.

Room a bit run down with some mould and wallpaper peeling off. A walk back to the main hotel in January with children wasn't ideal, wouldn't be a problem in nicer weather! Very slow service.
