The room was not clean. There was peel in the pool. I had no blanket. The TV remote did not work overall terrible service.

I recently sold my home and looking to relocate to northwest Indiana . However I was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer so was going to stay at hotels while undergoing treatmnunbeen looking to relocatany decisions until the end of the summer so I was going to stay at different hotels for different extended days was gonna be my first one. However I had my first treatment. My eyes were affected, and I ended up getting into a car accident. Someone was supposed to call for me. They did not so when Hotels.com reached out to them, they refused to refund my money Shame on them. That is absolutely horrible. They just lost out on a lot of business and I will make sure to tell everybody, I know, regardless of the ratings of this hotel, the manager has no empathy. I worked at the Marriott for 15 years and we would never have done that regardless of a reservation policy or not you can adjust it to circumstancesI hope he is never in a situatioso that is kind of hauled off my plans so I’ve staying at various hotels for extended days. I intended on staying at this hotel, however I ended up having a car accident due to me not feeling well and not paying attention. They will not refund my money. I was planning on going there, but I will not decide that they won’t refund my money that is absolutely terrible. I was so disgusted we stayed for 30 minutes. I booked online and was sorry I didn’t read any reviews first. The place was terrible everything was out of order I went for the pool use to be decent about 10 years ago now it looks abandon we just went home when the manager told use to go next door to swim awful experience I will never be back. I didn’t even waste my time asking for a refund because everyone in the reviews stated you don’t get those.

I can't imagine anyone staying staying at the Michigan City Inn for ANY reason. As I entered their driveway there was someone at my window asking for spare change. There was no one at the front desk to check you in and a clerk from the motel next door came over to check me in. Everything was extremely filthy and thee were very few lights that worked in the hallways. There seemed to be a criminal element hanging around in the hallways involved in prostitution and/or drugs, The room they wanted to put me in hadn't been serviced in any way with unmade beds and filthy flooring and bathroom fixtures. I left as soon as I could as I was worried about being assaulted or worse. The pool area was totally dark with people just hanging out in the pool area. There were plenty of other places nearby that were clean and safe to stay at. The Michigan City Inn is an out-of-business Ramada Inn that may be in the process of being renovated but is not safe or clean enough for anyone to stay in.
