"It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at."

The location at the beach was excellent.

The parking was tight. Above the first floor was like stepping into a totally different hotel. Second floor smelt like musky wet dog, the remodeling job done around the elevators looked like I did the cutting for them with big gaps, the wall paper was peeling off. The bathroom was the absolute worst. It didn’t have a regular door, it was a sliding barn door that didn’t close even with the wall and you could easily stick your hand in between and unhook the bathroom lock. So there really wasn’t any privacy at all. Now to the bathroom tub, the handle to turn it on was totally broken off so when you lift it up the handle falls off into your hand and then you have to play find the right side of the square jigsaw puzzle to get it back on. I ended up throwing it a few times then realized I couldn’t turn off the water. Let’s get to the roaring 737 they have as a vent fan. Loud crackling noise the whole time and you couldn’t turn it off because if you turned it off you had absolutely no light at all. I’m scared of the dark so me and a few rooms were flying for about 30 minutes. Oh and let’s not mention if you farted the whole room heard every rumble you made. There was no sound barrier from the bathroom to the room. Can’t watch tv cause the 737 you were flying in forgot to lock the doors so you heard everything. I called to get a refund to leave the hotel but had to wait 24 hours so that didn’t help at all. Oh yea and let’s not talk about the house maintenance, (yes I have done housekeeping at aloft so I know what I’m talking about about)She didn’t even knock and just barged in BEFORE 11am. Said “oh my bad, do y’all need more time?” We even got a call from the front desk at around 11:20am to remind me I had to checkout. And every 15 minutes after that it felt she was knocking at the door. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

"My experience was as low as you can go against Wyndham standards!"

I liked the location.

What a shame and a travesty what one power-hungry employee can bring to an organization. I had to deal with an Extremely rude and pompous general manager named Jessica. I was treated like I was in a third-world-country. I have complained to corporate. I have been a Wyndham Rewards Member for nearly 20 years and have NEVER been treated in such a rude and dismissive manner. Jessica is a self-serving liar and thinks she is above indemnification and requital and behaved as though she is made of Teflon. She is a delusional subordinate on a power trip. I am a 69-years old retired corporate executive and have travelled to cities and countries in six continents, and I have NEVER been treated so horribly and demeaning as Jessica had treated me. Jessica has absolutely no place is the hospitality industry whatsoever!! I thought I would have an enjoyable relaxing stay on the beach. Due to her arrogance, unprofessional attitude, and irreprehensible actions, especially AFTER PAYING for the stay, AND paying for the Incidentals Hold, and after her refusing to provide me with a key, I was not able to go to my room to take my necessary medication in time which caused me undue pain and exacerbated my medical conditions. End of story.

"Unusual for a caliber hotel!"

The location and the staff were great!

The staff provided excellent service and were clearly doing their best to assist guests. However, the facility itself is in need of significant upgrades. For example, I paid for early check-in, but upon arrival, my key card repeatedly malfunctioned. Although check-in time was 4:00 PM, there was a long line at the front desk, and I initially believed the early check-in would help avoid delays. Unfortunately, due to the key card issue, I had to return to the front desk for assistance. With staff already handling a high volume of guests, I experienced additional wait time in the hallway before someone could come and open the room. While waiting, I noticed the door’s key lock had loose batteries that had fallen out and were on the floor, which likely caused the malfunction. The issue was eventually resolved, and I was able to access the room. Overall, while the staff demonstrated professionalism and effort under challenging conditions, the property would greatly benefit from much-needed maintenance and upgrades to improve the guest experience.
