Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus

Ok, so the lobby is beautiful and employees are sweet. Thought this would be a great place. Ugh. Got to the 2nd floor at 3pm Friday and we were greeted by trash bags and dirty linens on the floor...which were still there the next morning when we left at 9:30am. There was a small, curly hair on our shower wall. The carpets were stained. We had to go down and ask for towels as we had NONE in our room, and what we got was stained. Our air conditioner had cords hanging out of it and had not been on. We had to turn it on when we got into our stuffy room. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was a beer can and water bottle sitting outside the pool area upon our arrival and departure of the hotel. Our atrium view room which we paid extra for was literally a view of a wall and trashcan. The 2nd floor window was boarded up and had a small window unit in it. The pillows were literally the size of couch throw pillows. They weren't even full size bedding pillows! There was a burn hole in our comforter. They were out of a ton of stuff for breakfast at 8:30 when breakfast is served until 10 on the weekends. The website says no pets, and yet we went to bed listening to the dog next door whine and woke up to it continuously squeaking its toy. We laughed pretty much the entire time we were here. It was a last minute choice to stop half way on the way back from our honeymoon. At least the hotel on the way and the resort for our honeymoon were great! This last stop on the way home SUCKED!

The location was over booked by 30 plus rooms. We where never notified in time so that we could find another room nor did expedia notify us in a timely fashion in order for us to find another room. It took us 2 hours to find another room which was not even in same town or close to the location that we needed!

The front desk clerk was amazing but the room was super outdated and run down. It smelt like cigarettes when you walked in and was very stuffy.

The refrigerator in the first room wasn't working. The hot water didn't work. Elevator on south side didn't work. Got another room on north side. Refrigerator mad bad sound every time it turned on. Sink was clogged. Breakfast was good. Employees were very nice. Hopefully the remodel will be done by time I visit next year.

After a long car we go to check in and we are told the elevator is broke upon check in and we are on the third floor. We go up to our room with some of our stuff. The entire floor of our non smoking room stunk of cigarettes. We get into the room, the room is not clean, the cover on the ac is taped on with electrical tape. There is a plastic bag over smoke detector. Cigarette burns in the comforter. The pillows on the bed are extremely flat. I go into the bathroom and there is a giant black mold spot on the ceiling. We immediately decided to leave and see if we can get a refund because when we were checking in they told others the hotel was fully booked. They say no problem we will refund you, the refund will go to the site you used to book the hotel. We have been going back and forth for almost 2 weeks trying to get the refund. The hotel will not respond to the emails from booking.com to tell them to refund us. The GM is never available to assist you. The hotel owner has not been helpful when we reached out to him regarding this matter either.

So we get there and wanted to swim. Was the only reason we stayed here because of indoor pool. They had a event that closed the pool til 8 p.m. Not Cool. Then they tell me there is a 50.00 deposit that will be refunded when we leave. Yall this hotel is not worth 150.00 night stay. They gave us a room that the windows were blacked out. The hotel needs major renovations.

My reservation was not honored. I am not happy. I want my payment credited back to my credit card. A room was available at a higher rate but they still would not honor the reservation. As I said, I am not happy. How could you make a reservation for an unavailable room?

Killed a full sized roach on bathroom door upon walking into room. The shower has hair a over..YUCK! The room is super dusty. Glad I just needed a nap and have my own blankets..will shower later. Otherwise the rooms would be okay.

The best thing about the room was the king size bed. We only stayed one night and needed a good night sleep, which we did get. The shower was the worst i have ever had! I think the rain outside was warmer than the shower ever got and the pressure was so bad I couldn't even wash my hair! There was literally 2 bath towels in the room....no wash cloths, no hand towels! The did provide a little coffee maker, but only decaf coffee provided. The book in the room and the booking site say there is a bar and lounge available....the is not true. There is a HUGE empty space with a water fountain in the middle is all. There is a small room with a couple arcade games and some vending machines available.

5 stars for night employees. Zero stars for the cleanliness of rooms. First of all I must say the employees on night shift were very nice and accommodating. We got checked in late this night, headed to our room and then… Here’s room #1: Filth, Filth, Filth. The bathroom had not been cleaned. Floor was nasty and gritty. Bath tub was obviously not cleaned with numerous hairs in it. The toilet stopped up and had to get a plunger to unstop. The sheets were stained and also included someone’s hair in them. Carpet was disgusting. We called the front desk and they moved us across the hall to another room Here’s room #2: all of the above for room #1 and 100 times worse. I’m not sure those sheets had been cleaned in a week. Sure the bathtub and toilet had not been cleaned in at least month or several months with all the visible stains that go into bathtubs and toilets. I called the manager up to see with her own eyes. I explained I wasn’t trying to be rude but just look at this mess that we paid $115 for one night. I asked her would she sit on that toilet, bathe in that nasty bathtub or sleep in those beds with the nasty sheets with more stains and more hair. She said absolutely not!!! The carpet was so nasty it was pretty much black. I’m not sure she was aware of how bad things were on this 3rd floor but she seemed very shocked. She was very nice and apologized over and over. I was ready to check out and find another place to stay at 11pm that night and get our money back. She suggested trying another floor. So I thought what the heck maybe 3 is a charm. Moved to the 2nd floor…. Here’s room #3: sooooo much better. Clean enough to make us want to stay. Could even smell the bleach in the bathroom. So we decided to stay instead of dragging our luggage around in the middle of the night to find another hotel. The manager was very nice and accommodating. She even refunded the room that night so our stay was on them. I will say they are currently in the middle of doing some major remodeling. I’m sure things will be better soon. The outside was nice just didn’t match the inside at all.
