After a long flight Iesha and Dani greeted me with big smiles and excellent service.

The location was close to the airport.

It was outdated. Very old. It wasn’t worth the price of our stay.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza at the airport in Phoenix because we landed late at night and had flight out the next day. Our experience began when the hotel shuttle never showed up at the airport. We had called from the gate when we left the airplane and were told that the shuttle was on its way. After waiting for the shuttle for 10 minutes, we called the hotel again and asked about the shuttle. Again, we were told it was on the way. On a third call, we were told it would be there in 12 minutes. At this point we took a cab. The hotel shuttle was sitting in front of the hotel when we pulled up in the cab and there was no driver in sight. As we checked in and mentioned all of this to agent, he sympathized and told us that it happens all the time. For our inconvenience he gave us coupons for breakfast. The hotel is extremely dated and looks as though the last update was in the early 1990s. In the morning we waited at the entrance to the restaurant to be acknowledged as the servers carried on a conversation before telling us that it would be a few minutes for them to clear a table for us. After waiting more than a few minutes as neither of them made an effort to clear a table, we cleared a table and set it for ourselves. We picked up menus and sat. Finally, the waitress came to the table and took our order, however the only breakfast that the coupon covered was a selection that we didn't want. We ordered anyway. They have no gluten free toast, so I wanted fruit instead, and was told I couldn't substitute. I told her I would pay for the fruit. We ordered water with no ice and coffee. She didn't come back until she brought the food. I got the water and coffee myself. Others came to the door and were also ignored, finally picking up menus and seating themselves. One man had been at the hotel several days and said that every morning was just like this. The food was fine, but nothing special. IHG should enforce their standards on this hotel, but I suspect they are afraid of losing a flag in this location, so they allow it to be substandard. It makes a bad impression for the brand.

Breakfast options were limited and they had run out of some options by 7am
