"Don’t do it!"

2.0

Full of men!!! Don’t stay there if your female traveling alone. Out of town Plant workers, etc. stay there, LIVE THERE! Hotel is old, dark, creaking, like out of a scary movie. Beds are hard, flat and old! There is the tiniest pillows I’ve ever seen. You have to walk around outside to get to laundry or concessions. I should of stayed in my car.

"The company pays"

2.0

The place is dated with the maintenance guy that is well more concerned with fishing than the pool. Oh the pool that don't filter or you can see the bottom. Bottom of you feet while you walk in the room. And the breakfast that come out of microwave. The front staff is nice n friendly. The place is in need of a up date.

"pre cruise stay"

10.0

We stayed here the night prior to our cruise out of NOLA. It was great. room was nice with mico, fridge and coffee pot. The breakfast was wonderful with eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, cereals and breads. The pool area has plenty of places to sit and relax

"Terrible"

2.0

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing to say the least. Our bathtub did not drain, and it took 2 days for someone to come fix it. My husband and I went to purchase a bottle of bleach just so we could clean the tub due to it not draining properly. The sheets on the bed were not changed at all during our 3 night stay. The room was always humid, and the carpeting was also very moist at one point during our stay. The sheer curtain was taped to the window with a piece of masking tape. Breakfast was disappointing as well, which prompted us to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was awful, and definitely not worth what we paid per night.

"I thought every choice hotel chain was smoke free. I was wrong."

2.0

Made reservations online. Saw that it was an older hotel, but I would give it a try and it was for one night. I arrived around 1:30am and checked in quickly after a 5 hour drive. Opened the door and smelled like smoke should be pouring out of the room and really bad cheap perfume. I figured, I'm so tired, I'll get used to it. I took off my shoes and the carpet was damp. I quickly got in bed and the sheets felt damp. The smoke smell was in everything (pillows, sheets, EVERYTHING). I tossed for hours and one point thought about sleeping in my truck. At 8:00am, no sleep, was ready to get out. Went to take a shower and found 2 lotion bottles (1 partially used), no soap or shampoo...WTF? I went to the front desk and she apologized the guy at check-in should have confirmed I wanted smoking. Because their doors face outside, smoking is allowed. No compensation or want my mgr to call you? Nothing? I went to grab a bite of breakfast and all the hot items were empty, the place was empty and I could just grab a package of blue berry muffins and a bear claw. This hotel should be demolished. It sucks so bad and the breakfast? Seriously? Saturday at 8:30 am? Nothing? I can't stress enough how badly I want to redo that night!

"Get what you pay for!"

4.0

We had to go to Metairie at the last minute and needed 2 rooms. Being Mardi Gras season, everything was booked in Metairie so LaPlace was our closest option. From initial impression, the hotel is old and dated...looks like an old HI property that sold to Quality Inn. Our room was clean and neat but had that chemical smell of trying to mask cigarette smoke. The bed was comfortable and a/c worked well but room remained very humid for 2 nights even though a/c ran continually. My wife has had sinus issues since our stay. In the end, you get what you pay for!

"Yikes"

4.0

I don't believe the Quality Inn headquarters has any idea about the condition of this place. If someone stayed at the LaPlace location and assumed all other Quality Inn's were similar, that would be a shame. The lobby smells like a urinal. The room we had was filthy, although the bed sheets seemed clean and the bathroom was wiped down. We struggled to find outlets that worked. The hairdryer plug was just waiting to electrocute someone. It seemed to be a good place for local road workers to stay so I felt safe. It also may be a full time residence for many. The water was hot and pressure was good. The people at the front counter were very nice. We were wary of the breakfast so ate elsewhere. I certainly realize that there is a motel for everyone but based for the overall review of 3.5 out of 5, I though this would be decent. I would not characterize that way. It should be a $35 per night place to stay. I hate to write a review this bad, but I depend on these sites to steer me to places I feel comfortable staying.

"An affordable alternative in Laplace"

6.0

This is an older motel with two floors and no elevator, but it has been renovated and is in decent condition. Rooms open directly to the outside. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and offered both hot and cold items. Not much nearby I-10, restaurants and stores are within a few minutes drive. This was one of the lowest price hotels in the area.
