Check in- called earlier the day of to make sure a late check (11 p.m.) in was OK. That went fine. When I arrived slightly before 11 p.m. (7hr drive) I was promptly told the double queen beds room I reserved was not available but they had a double twin (absolutely not was my first response). He finally told me it was a room with 2 double beds. I asked what the difference was in cost and was promptly told there would be no price adjustment. So I paid for a 2 times queen room and was put in a smaller bed for the same price because they refused a price adjustment. Reasoning was because I booked thru a 3rd party app. I was in town for a funeral the next day; I needed to sleep and didn't want to argue any more that evening. The only time someone was at the front desk was late evening. They did have a computer screen with a few different people at times. Almost always on another device or phone. One looked to be walking around a grocery store. No one was ever at the front desk that I could speak to about the room and check in issues during daytime hours. The room did not have bugs. The only good thing. Toilet paper looking spit wads on the bathroom wall. Daughter found a chocolate chip on the floor. And a dust ball the size of dollar bill. Not clean at all. Window in the room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The railroad tracks about 500 feet from our room made sleeping peacefully impossible. T.V. spent most of the time with no signal message. The surrounding area- not safe! Methadone clinic a few blocks away in the shopping district. Absolutely would not take my daughter over there not even during the day due to a ton of not so nice looking folks hanging around. Also learned locals refer to the area as scumberland. I was also locked out of the building. I assume the front door was locked due to the area. Check out- was done at above mentioned computer screen with a man who seemed to be annoyed by us trying to check out.

Break fast very less option n no complimentary milk sugar n water in room as it is 3 star

The location was in downtown which was nice and walk to different locations. Had a free breakfast. Parking was convenient.

Decor was outdated. Only one evaluator was working. Check in was done on a computer terminal and not with a real person. No vending machines that worked on the floors. Had to go to the desk to get a soda.

Printer paper signs hanging all over the place. "Don't hold elevator open for too long or it will inconvenience others when it stops working " And another in several places about not taking food up to the room from the breakfast which is what we usually do because breakfast is early and we want to casually get ready , not get ready early and then eat early . None of the vending machines worked , all had more signs that said if you want something you have to but it from the desk. I know thus place is old, I grew up here and went to community events like magician shows ect. Ive stayed here multiple times over the years. It felt cheesy to t h e point we didn't want to get up to check out the breakfast and ate out later.
