Ramada by Wyndham Cumberland Downtown

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had ridden the GAP trail and wanted a hot shower in a clean bathroom. The bathtub had someone else’s hair in it and did not look clean. I ran the water to try to rinse it out and the tub quickly filled up and was not draining. We went to the lobby and he said that he couldn’t give us another room and wouldn’t give us a discount. He said he would tell his manager but didn’t write anything down. The next morning we told the talking head in the kiosk and he didn’t seem to care either. Also, the breakfast was not appetizing or healthy. I expect more from a Hampton Inn but this place is very run down. They don’t seem to care.

I only booked this place because it showed there was a restaurant and bar . The bar was closed and used as storage space. The restaurant was only available for breakfast. I will not stay there again.

It was a very nice location. Close to many restaurants. Parking was troublesome. The Handicap parking is not regulated. So I would have to drop my 85YO mom at the entryway. Then drive to the other side of the building to park. But we managed. Can’t imagine staying there in the winter.

Its location

Very run down. One of two elevators was inoperative. The fitness room one treadmill was inoperative.

The room was clean, however i went to make coffee the next morning and there was only one little bag with the creamer and sugar and it had been opened, the stir stick was missing. This was after a phone at around midnight, waking us up, to tell us that people around were complaining that we were making to much noise, and they were trying to go to sleep. I said wrong room, they said, oh sorry.

The room and the bed were comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfectly situated to the downtown areas that interested me.

The check-in process was horrible, and the breakfast was not good at all. There was no breakfast meat, and the scrambled eggs tasted worse than anything I had ever tried to eat for breakfast.

Parking was at the side of the building and didn't seem particularly safe. Room was great, quiet, clean and had everything we needed. I didn't like the check out. Not having a real person and using a machine... Not sure if it was AI or some kind of zoom connection but not impressed.
