Solomons Inn Resort and Marina

What I liked most was the size of the room. Customer service was horrible. Not being greeted when you walked up to the counter. The employees put answering the phone over the customer in front of you, without an excuse me said.

They’re undergoing renovations, so there were a few hiccups, hot water that ran out Wi-Fi spotty construction outside of the restaurant and bar refrigerator that didn’t work. But the staff was fabulous all very nice and did what they could to fix things. We got a new fridge the second night we wound up in a new room with some hot water that worked. The continental breakfast is good with a very good selection, but it ends at nine would hope that it would go a little later. And they say the pool is open till 9 PM but if nobody happen to be there in the evening, the lifeguard would go off duty and close the pool so nobody could go in the pool Unless there was a lifeguard so actually the pool closed when the lifeguard left not 9 PM I would recommend this place but maybe not until after April when they said renovations should be done

The pool was the nicest and best part of the hotel. The rest of it was mediocre. Breakfast was terrible. Location of hotel however was great cos it’s walkable to Main Street on Solomon’s island

Walked around the property and there is trash everywhere. People smoke out front and the cigarette smell lingers when you come in and out. Guests leaves used cigarettes near the entrance on the ground and nobody picks them up. There are broken bottles and trash in the parking lot. If you walk around the building towards the water there are empty water bottles, cans, jugs, containers along with other trash. You would think they want to keep the place clean and presentable. Also people were smoking weed in the building and I guess that’s allowed? There wasn’t really TV service in the room except Vizio Free tv and it was horrible. It was connected to WiFi and the signal in the room was bad and the TV kept buffering and wasn’t enjoyable to watch anything. It takes a while to have someone help in the restaurant. The wait staff also doesn’t really pay attention when you order or wait on your table when you are eating. Ordered a burger well done and it came medium…. Asked for a few other things and had to ask again. The wait staff never can back to check on us and just brought the bill. They asked how it was and we said it was ok and that was the end of the conversation. We will not eat there again. Food was not worth what we paid… disappointed. The doors between the rooms seem to be paper thin and you can hear everything the guests next door are doing. Have more to post but ran out of space for review.

Front desk staff was great. Continental breakfast was decent. Outdoor area was nice.

Pool advertised as closing at 9pm, but they closed it earlier. We could hear everything our neighboring rooms were doing, from footsteps, to tv to full on conversation. Neighbors were not being disruptive, the walls just offered no buffer for sound. Bathroom was in poor shape with damaged door and toilet, door would not close and the shower leaked.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely come back for another visit and by then the outside bar will be done with renovations.
