Delamar Traverse City

Wow!! We had an amazing three night stay in April with our 8 and 11 year old children. The service and ammenities were top notch. Our room overlooked the outdoor heated pool and a bit of the Traverse Bay. We took advantage of the outdoor pool several times. It was such a special experience to swim outside when the temps were in the 30s. Fire pits and outdoor heat lamps made it so cozy at night. We loved roasting s'mores and enjoying cocktails by the pool. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!! The hotel is beautiful with unique art, updated finishes, cozy beds, a mini fridge, and an upscale bathroom with a waterfall shower. We loved the cafe area in the evening for drinks and snacks. The lobby lounge area overlooking the bay, has board games, a hot cocoa bar, and lounge chairs. We spent many hours playing games by the fire. The hotel is busy with a combination of families, couples, and business travelers. We brought a white noise machine which made sleeping lovely. A ten minute walk into town let us explore cute shops, a candy store for the kids, and loads of amazing cafes and restaurants. The beach directly north of the hotel was fun to walk and collect small shells for the children. We took a day trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes for a hike, which was great! This hotel is in a perfect spot to explore several wineries, towns, and beaches. Such an amazing visit full of sweet memories!!

This marked our 5th stay at The Delamar Traverse City, and we will certainly be back again! From check-in to check-out, they assure that every need is met with a smiling face. Cozy evenings spent by the fire, playing board games & listening to live music, all while overlooking the bay, can't be beat!

It’s advertised as an adult get a way, but there were children everywhere. Even in the pools and hot tubs past 9pm. I wish there was an adult only time

Enjoying an outdoor pool in northern Michigan during March/April was not on my 2026 bingo card but the experience was amazing! Such a great amenity. The views of the Traverse Bay are breathtaking as well.

Bar and restaurant staff were exceptionally nice and professional.

They closed the outdoor pool, which was the reason that we booked! Indoor pool had too many people and was dirty.

Nice hotel with great location. We went up north for just 2 nights for family of 5 with mix of toddler & teenagers. We all love sauna, hot tub & pools. Have live music at the lounge & shuttle service to airport & downtown. We sat down one night & listen to music, there is big fireplace, with tables & couch. Pretty impressed with bathroom amenities, I haven’t seen Bvlgari for such a long time at other hotels even a fancier one we had stayed, they also set up Fiji bottle waters upon arrival & refill when make up room. Somehow both of our rooms on 3rd floor- Wifi signal were very spotty. My son’s room had to change finally and their internet work. My husband didnt want to move so we just use a bit here and there, even our 5G from phone is very weak too. Front desk are friendly & helpful, make sure to check on my room twice if we want to move or not. This is a good choice whenever in Traverse City.
