Courtyard by Marriott Gulfport Beachfront

While we loved Gulfport and the location was beautiful, there were a few things to stuck out to be disappointing and not up to Marriot standard. We checked in and got 1 key (they were low, I get that). The room smelled of musk and and cigarette smoke. While it was there at the beginning, I really noticed when I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell and couldn't get back to sleep. The pool had hardly any deck chairs and tables. Many people were standing. It was a beautiful night to be outside and too bad we couldn't relax by the pool. There was mold and rust around the shower and bathroom, just not as clean as I would have liked - especially for a Marriott. While this was all disappointing, I'm hoping Marriott will take this feedback into consideration to improve experiences going forward. Beautiful area, and lobby, so much potential!

Property was nasty and had an odor. We had to move rooms the next day after being lied to. We paid for two rooms side by side. The lady was nice the second day and did what she could.

The lobby was beautiful but it did not match the aesthetic of the room. The hallways smelled old. It was super warm in the hallways and it was 90° outside. They took towels and replaced them with fewer towels than we had. The phone wasn’t even connected. No cord at all.

Had a good view across the water to Ship Island with binoculars.You can see the fort with binoculars during the daytime.I had a problem getting my room. Rooms was not ready at checking in 3:00pm. I told them we was going shopping at the mall and was not going to room right then.They gave me a room and keycard said room would be ready when I get back. Came back at 7pm and room was not cleaned, had to get another room.Apparently they don’t have enough help to take care of the cleaning of rooms daily.

Needs maintenance and no one at the bistro burning open hrs

They exchange the room when it had a bad smell.

I paid additional money for Free breakfast and they did not serve Free breakfast.

We had a great stay, the staff was very friendly
