Courtyard by Marriott Gulfport Beachfront

The staff was very friendly. Check-in was quick and simple. I loved that my room was only 10 steps from the elevator. I had a nice view of the beach and it was convenient to some very good Gulf Coast restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Not what you would expect for the price. Two rooms later we got a room that was clean smelling and had somewhat of a AC.

I expected a pleasant experience staying at a Marriott brand hotel, but unfortunately, that was not the case. After a 2-mile run, I went straight to the shower, only to find no soap or shampoo—just conditioner. When I called the front desk, they told me to come pick it up myself because housekeeping wasn’t available. So yes, I ended up showering with conditioner only. To add to that, the dryers weren’t working hotel-wide, rhe gym is closed and it took over an hour to get a simple order of fries from the restaurant. What saved the day was the nice swimming pool and the extremely friendly staff. They were warm and welcoming, but I am not sure they realize that these small service lapses do matter. My sister especially appreciated Ms. Shakira, who dried her clothes at no charge and was professional and kind throughout.

Front desk staff was helpful and nice, but too high in price for an outdated, dirty building.

It was a prime location. Most everything we needed was close by. The staff was really helpful and nice.

The room was eh, the tv could have more channels, there was a humming in the bathroom 24-7 no matter what, the whole hotel was hot inside. It wasn't bad for the price.

My only problem was I had a handicap room, which meant there was no counter top in the bathroom. This made getting ready difficult.

Needs major work. Pool was green

The first room was smelly. We requested a new room and got one but it was just as bad. They tried to cover it up with spray. The two double beds were not the same. One corner of one bed was sticking up. Bathroom had mold. No shower gel or shampoo.

PROs... location was very good... walking distance or a short drive to many attractions. CONs... The condition of and cleanliness of rooms left a ? in my head.... I saw a toilet brush tossed onto the carpet outside the bathroom door by on of the cleaning personnel, the towel rack came out of the wall when my wife attempted to put a towel on it. The main thing was that we reserved and handicap/ accessible room and none were available for our mother.....We made do, but it was challenging to make it work....We wished the bar stayed open a little later but understand how that can be challenging... Having said that, the bartender and front desk staff were excellent.
