This was my second visit, and unfortunately, it will be my last due to the series of issues I experienced. Upon arrival, the property was clearly outdated and poorly maintained. The ceiling was peeling, there was dust throughout the room, the sink was missing parts, and the towels provided were child-sized. The bed linens were cream-colored, stained, and looked used. Most concerning, I found a stuffed animal in my room that was not mine, which strongly suggests the room was not properly cleaned after the previous guest. The most distressing issue, however, was the mishandling of my lost item. I accidentally left a gold ring with 24 black onyx stones—a gift for my 50th birthday—on the bed. I called the hotel within an hour of checkout. Management first told me they did not find it, then mentioned it might appear in the laundry. I called twice for updates, but one staff member stated he “wouldn’t know if the ring was found,” and no one from management followed up with me despite having my contact information. This lack of accountability and care is deeply troubling and not reflective of Marriott standards. After I sent an email to corporate I received and apology email last month from the manager saying and she will personally review our lost and found process to ensure greater transparency and follow-through moving forward. Never heard anything since. Maybe she was forced to send that email and her apology was fake. I received any follow up regarding my ring any compensation. I do not recommend that hotel !

Due to a lack of desirable Marriott properties in the area, I thought I would try this location. There is active black mold in the bathroom, active mold on the carpet in the suite under the mini fridge and thank God I wore socks in the room- because see my photo for what they looked like after a 1 day/1 night stay. I do not understand how Marriott allows this franchise location to keep The Courtyard name.

Didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting. Our room 401 was newly redecorated with fresh paint, carpet, modern lighting and was clean throughout. Tub was dated. Across the street from the Gulf of MEXICO. No complimentary breakfast but they did offer a cooked to order from the menu for a fee. I would definitely stay here again. 9/18/25 for 3 nights.

the bolt latch on the door was barely hanging on with the screws, room was clean but was a little old feeling.
