Wingate by Wyndham Kansas City

The only thing good was it’s location.

Food was disgusting. Watery eggs, cold food. Room was in disrepair and dirty. No toiletries, dirty towels. A/C was barely working. Lobby and hallways were filthy. No hot water at the sink. Curtains were falling off. TV worked intermittently. Outside the grounds were filthy, cigarette butts and trash everywhere. Managers Lincoln Navigator was parked in front of the lobby the entire time we were there blocking the entrance. Drug deals and fighting in the parking lot all night. I could go on.

Nothing.

The room was extremely dirty, I checked in and we canceled the reservation within 10 mins of getting in our rooms, in the two rooms we had they were extremely dirty and had a distinct urine smell.

The bed was decently comfortable

The breakfast was gross and the room was hot. The pool wasn’t open when we checked in at 4 and when we came back to the hotel at 10:30 it was closed already, we didn’t get to use it at all. The room was 88 degrees and only went down 2 degrees by the time we went to bed.

Kinda worn down and not the cleanest property

There was not much I liked. We had an awful experience

My family got there late at night and the guy at the desk could not check us in. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to do so. Once we got to our room there was no A/C, no toiletries, towels, etc. When I went back to the desk the person that was able to check me in was 'getting food' and we had to wait another 30min before someone (not the original person) finally decided they could give me a room. The room we got was marginally cleaned - there was a stain on the bed, but we were taxed at that time and did not complain. We got up the next morning, had breakfast, and left. This place was absolutely horrible!

I don't give back my money

Linens were clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was also clean. Good location, just off I-35. The pool and exercise room looked to be in good condition (we didn’t use either).

The hotel was old. Not what we expected for a Windham. The breakfast food was warm, at best, but there was a microwave (which I didn’t see until my second serving).

The staff was nice and the pool was very pretty

The bathroom had mold. The hotel over all looked like it was either dirty or under construction
