Holiday Inn Binghamton-Downtown Hawley Street by IHG

Check in was super easy with Sahadat and Andy. We were here for graduation and the lobby was beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the river . Would stay again. Thank you!

If you read the fine print, parking is free but not guaranteed. This means that you may not be able to park legally anywhere near the hotel for any amount of money. Binghamton gets very full on many spring and fall weekends because of sports, alumni, graduation, and incoming student events. If your visit coincides with a hockey game, for example, even getting near the hotel will be a nightmare, and their lot and all nearby lots will be full. Once you manage to fight your way inside the hotel, frankly substandard conditions for the price prevail. My room was narrow and hard to move around in for even one person. The sheets and towels had perhaps been laundered, but not carefully enough to remove hair and lint from previous customers. Personally, I don't mind the noise, but I heard other patrons complaining about the raucous groups of young people (high school cheerleaders and hockey players) who milled about. I could barely exit my room in the morning because housekeeping had parked outside my door, and I had to interrupt the constant stream of teenagers filing past, which was a rather unpleasant interaction. No free breakfast, and after dealing with personnel I did not trust their high-priced "pickup breakfast" to which gratuity is automatically added, fearing that it would be one more source of exasperation. Upon checking in, I asked for a river view, and the clerk said she would try. She did not tell me, however, that she actually gave me a room directly above the busy parking lot. Par for the course at this unsatisfactory establishment.

Location is remote. Metro to Manhattan is 15 min by foot.

Recent visit for business, and I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. Krista Werner went above and beyond helping us and guiding us to places to visit while we were in town. Her customer service was top-notch, and her friendliness and professionalism made a real difference. She is a wonderful representative of the hotel

Pool The room was super nice

I didn’t like that we couldn’t get breakfast. When I booked I didn’t realize breakfast was included in some but not others and I chose for it to be not included without realizing.
