Starling Cloud, Aberystwyth by Marston’s Inns

Not being told that Sunday carvery finishes at 4 o’clock, even though we booked a table with reception for 5 o’clock.

Easy check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom had everthing needed. Staff in the restaurant friendly and helpful , told it would be busy but relatively quite. Evening meal was ok, usual pub grub.

Clean, well presented accommodation. Plenty of parking, free of charge and directly outside rooms. Easy check in and check out. Pub on site offering food - very friendly and helpful staff. A little walk into town, probably a good 10 minutes. However, can drive in and out as parking plentiful. Only £6 for taxi right to the sea front. Would stay again

Walking disance to town, quiet

It was convenient for the train link and easy for walking around the local area. Very nice.

Good property ,very clean warm modern bedrooms , with the pub and restaurant next door , food was very good and room rate good value . The breakfast was very good as well , at a good price with an excellent choice of buffet and cold items, the cooked breakfast was excellent. Maybe unfortunately on the day the breakfast service was slow . Overall a good stay and I would stay again .

It seems standards have gone down. No ironing board or iron in the room. Dusty surfaces. Was really disappointed this time

This was my first trip to this Hotel. Friendly staff on arrival and during stay. Room clean tidy and quiet and well stocked with tea milk and coffee. Air con worked and you could open the windows for some fresh sea air. I used the restaurant for my evening meal and breakfast. Food service was quick with hot and good pub food. Breakfast was great again with friendly staff. My only minor issue (third world problem) was that breakfast service didn’t start until 8am, which is a bit late if you are on business. I would definitely stay again when next on business in the area. I was initially a bit hesitant because of some pretty damming past reviews but I was very satisfied with my 1 night business stay.

Pleasant hotel, facilities ok. Staff pleasant.
