Holiday Inn Estes Park by IHG

My husband, Nicholas and I spent four days and three nights at Estes Park Holiday Inn by IHG. We were in town for our cousin’s wedding/reception. The hotel was very comfortable and our suite was extra comfy because we were able to manually control the temperature by adjusting a flawless and easy-to-operate thermostat. The people on staff were friendly and eager to accommodate, especially the Food & Beverage Supervisor, Ms. Jennifer Edwards. Kudos to her! She went above and beyond the call-of-duty to make sure that we had a pleasant stay and received everything we needed. Jennifer was great! Awesome, customer service! There were two Front Desk Attendants (Daniel S. and Jae S.) who helped us with questions and maps of the area before we checked out. They were patient and kind; we worked with them quite easily. Overall, I’d rate this Hotel and our experience there as an A+. You too will find this to be true when visiting Holiday Inn Estes Park, Colorado. Enjoy! Juanita M. 1st time staying here at this facility. Have been visiting Estes Park since 1990. My regular place was booked so I wanted to give this place a try. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. It was a little difficult try to exit the facility due to the fast moving traffic. The location however was within walking distance to the Riverwalk area. About a 5 to 7 minute walk.

My view. This was my only negative. The view of the ACs and flat rooftop blocked a lot of the view of the mountains and lake. But that is on me. Next time I'll look a higher floor with unobstructed view.

Great location, good price, hotel is showing its age, but still kept clean. Close to downtown Estes Park, could walk, but we drove. Game room had everything you would want to play. 24 seven coffee available in lobby. Everyone was very friendly.

Fire pits were outstanding! Bedroom was nice. Location was great. Front desk personnel were very helpful!

Our room lacked a dresser, having shelves instead(belongings were in the open). Bar closed early enough, it should be at an old folks facility - not a hotel. Very, very restrictive hours(not addressed on web site). A BIL had a to-go food box from a restaurant nearby - wasn’t allowed to take it into the bar, while having a drink. Our group chose to not go into the bar, that nite.

I received multiple requests from the hotel to grade my experience, so here it is. Honestly, I was disappointed with my stay. First, the hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The facilities are old and outdated, and the rooms are quite small. Second, the staff were not professional. Check-in took a long time, and when it was finally my turn, they couldn’t even activate my room keys properly. What frustrated me the most was the room with view I paid extra for. When I checked in, the window was almost completely blocked by trees, so there was basically no view at all. I called the front desk to request a room change, but they put me on hold for over 10 minutes and never got back to me. I then went to the lobby directly, but there was only one lady at the front desk who kept talking on the phone while a long line of guests waited. Even when she noticed I had been waiting for a long time, she spoke to me impatiently while still on her call. In the end, they didn’t help me change my room.
