Hotel Base Nara - Hostel

We were on the floor with the common room and it was sometimes noisy.

Big room, comfy beds, great quiet location. The common room is nice and full of manga.

There wasn’t much hot water one of the nights and the common room was a bit chilly. The room next to us was a dormitory room with a lot of beds and most of the times big families or group of teen friends would book it so it was a bit noisy. But generally people were respectful towards the late hours.

Stayed in a private room with 2 double beds (fits 4 pax) on the 3rd floor. The female showers are on the 3rd floor but there’s no toilet on the 3rd floor so u have to go down to the 2nd floor.

The beds were so hard, they were pretty uncomfortable. There was a strong smell in the ground floor when we arrived. For the rest the facility was really good. There are no blinders that block the light

Location is good, ten minutes easy walking to Nara park.

It’s unstaffed, no reception area. Noisy people arrive late, after 10.30 pm, and then talking and laughing loudly, as if nobody else was trying to sleep, then starting washing and dryers , and preparing and eating food till 11.45 pm. If there was a reception area or any staff in the hotel, this behaviour might nit have happened,
