Residence Inn by Marriott St. Petersburg Treasure Island

Great location, access to beach and pool. On site free parking, sea view. Very big rooms.

Only 1 elevator reaching the rooms, causing long waiting lines and times in rush hours. Older/dated interior, room could be cleaner (kitchen area).

Check was easy and available early, which was great! We were on 8th floor, back building. Remember Lobby is on 2nd floor, flood zone! Desk staff over helpfull! Areas were clean and well lit. I thought the air conditioner in room was too loud, check yours out before you settle. I am a light sleeper, had problem sleeping each time it kicked on. Next time I'll leave the fan on, maybe better. I did see many people who were not staying at Hotel take towels and go to beach! I saw 7, in the little time I observed. Actually when I went for towel, most were gone, There is a Circle K, across the street for drinks and snacks, if needed. It's actually not a bad walk to Johns Pass, can take Beach or Gulf Boulevard. About 20 minute walk. Room was clean, areas were clean.

Family friendly

The property was very nice, great pool, walking distance to beautiful beach, comfortable room with refrigerator, microwave and dishes and a ceiling fan. The balcony was the best part as so spacious and great view!! Staff was excellent too.

Not really a fan of retro style and don’t like carpet in hotel rooms. Would have preferred a Keurig for coffee but coffee pot good and coffee good as well. When I arrived, I thought the hallway to my room smelled a bit but hotel staff sprayed freshener which helped. I guess there can be a stale smell when no fresh air.

Everything was wonderful!

The only issue was trying to get ice from the machine. But the staff was so amazing about getting ice for us.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel, and location. But I must say the best thing about this hotel is clearly the staff. Everyone we’ve encountered where so nice so helpful. It’s beyond words. When we checked in, Kenesha (so sorry if I spelled wrong) was the most pleasant and helpful person I’ve encountered during a check-in process in a long time people. She went above and beyond and even followed up to make sure everything was to my expectation. Then of course, there is Alvin. Alvin is one of the reasons that we continue to return to this location. He’s a long time staple, and truly an ambassador to the kindness of every employee. I am a lifetime platinum member with over 2.5 million points and save this location as a must return.
