City Apartments - Monkbar Mews

Everything - This was the second time I've stayed at one of your apartments as they are brilliant. Clean, nice area, parking. Great location - I would highly recommend

Monkbar Mews is in an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions. An ideal base for exploring York. Clean well equipped a home from home. This is our 4th stay here. Stayed in 8b this time and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely return.

The heating was on the first evening and I managed to get in to come on the following day. The last night it didn’t come on. It was milder so maybe why it didn’t come on but could have done with having it on for an hour. Not a huge issue and I am sure John would have assisted if I’d contacted him. Please note if you are parking just to drop off you are allowed to 15 minutes, which were told. We were ok when we dropped off but upon leaving/packing up we inadvertently went over the time by 3 mins. Had to pay £60. Not the fault of Monkbar Mews I must stress.

Location.

Info about local food stores was out of date. Sainsbury’s is closed. Wash hand basins in the bathrooms were far too small.

The apartment was clean well stocked with everything we needed. On such a cold night the heating was on when we arrived.

I booked a party of 9 so had to choose two apartment, I was very disappointed that I wasn’t told the apartment were next to each other and it was a walk on the Main Street to get to the second apartment. Due to the cold weather this morning (snow fall) none of the court yard was gritted, so it was very slippery when we tried to load the cars

Amazing location, no more than 15 minutes walk to anywhere

Really great area, lovely room and helpful staff. Great stay
