DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC – Crystal City

Extremely outdated hotel and rooms. The paint is peeling in the shower and the carpets are stained and dirty. I was in room 926 and the room would not go below 80 degrees and the AC unit would not turn off. I called to see if they could send someone to look at it, in which the Front Desk Associate informed me, “someone already looked at it”. Didn’t make sense because I was in the room for about 30 mins. Seems like they keep trying to pass this room around. Upon checking out, I expressed my concerns to the Associate, in which he stated, “okay, I’ll let someone know” while popping is bubble gum and scanning hotel keys without any concern. Definitely not the Hilton experience I’m used to. Recommend staying a little more at a different Hilton property.

I absolutely loved the spacious room, the balcony, and the stunning view. The bathroom was beautiful and generously sized, adding to the overall comfort. Everything felt clean and well-maintained. Overall, I’d rate my experience an 8 out of 10.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We had to get the shower head replaced, and the furniture looked worn and outdated. Another major inconvenience was having to wait almost an hour at checkout just to get a broom to clean up rose petals so we wouldn’t be charged. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations.

They were very accomodating with my late check in and late check out. The staff was very friendly and undersanding. And the cookies are delicious!

I parked in the Pentagon Eads lot because I didn't know where to park or if there was a fee.

I was not clear on the breakfast set-up. I paid when I booked the room but I was not aware I should have received breakfast vouchers until after I purchased from the Cafe. I inquired at the front desk, they apologized. The menu should be more detailed for customers to know information more detailed prior to using the online sites.
