Holiday Inn Scranton East - Dunmore by IHG

Convenient location, friendly staff, spacious public areas.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Chair was very uncomfortable. Room never really got dark.

Only 1 waitress available for breakfast and she chose to make another table a priority who came after us because they had children, she explicitely said it, that she would attend the kids first. She was argumentative when I comfronted her about it mentioning we felt discriminated. We were waiting a good 30mins and she never attended us even though we were first. I brought it up to the attention of the front desk and luckily the person there was nice, she personally served us. Another gentleman witnessed the ordeal and agreed with us on unfair treatment. We did not feel comfortable having anymore breakfast for the remainder of our stay due to the disappointing waitress and wait. We had cold supermarket boiled eggs for next couple of days to avoid a headache. The room also has no microwave so guests are left to rely on the restaurant with hit or miss service. Its a shame because the first night we had a decent meal there and had a different waitress who was very nice. The place could do better if they had more wait staff for the breakfast service.

Had to take a cold shower at night, and woke up the next morning and had to take another cold shower. The water got luke-warm at best.

Nice clean facility with friendly staff.

We were promised ice/ice bucket which was never delivered on our first stay. The second stay a week later both were provided.
