"Disappointing, much too expensive for what it was. The only redeeming feature was the location."

5.0

We stayed in room 5. Bathroom was grubby, needed a good clean and a decent shower. No where but the floor to put anything down, no where to sit but the bed. We are in our 70s the room was plenty big enough to accommodate 2 chairs and a small round table which would have been much better. We were unable to open any windows, it was during a heatwave. Breakfast was disappointing, continental breakfast was a croissant, do it yourself drinks, toast etc. No clean cups available, we had to find someone to ask, no decaf coffee and had to wait another 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Service charge was automatically added to my breakfast costs, I would never have paid this if I had noticed.

"This was a very comfortable and relaxing overnight stay. I would definitely stay again."

9.0

It’s in a lovely location, away from the town, with adjacent parking and on site restaurant facilities (during pub opening hours). The room was absolutely spotless, with all the amenities people now want. We had to settle for a bar meal on arrival which wasn’t bad, but breakfast the next morning was delicious, and Sally who was running the breakfast room was both friendly and helpful, managing it all with the ease of Marge Simpson corralling the family.

There were quite a few stairs for my old knees, and some of the interior looked a bit tired, but nothing really to spoil the stay.

"Great stay. Location is great. Pub is really nice and garden over looking the river is amazing"

7.0

Great location. Rooms are basic but ok for the price.

Paying for breakfast. Make sure you pre book because if you don't it's more than double the price

"Lovely location, shame about the noise from the builders"

7.0

Very quaint & stunning location.

We were woken up after 7 both morning by a team of builders working on the property on a bank holiday weekend. We had to have the windows open because the weather was hot & they spoiled our relaxation

"Amazing location and first class accommodation."

10.0

I booked for my partners 70th birthday. Everything from the room to the food was exceptional...thank you!

The only criticism about the whole stay, was the Buddlehiea shub outside on the patio. The plant is so infested with blackfly, everything, including us, was rapidly covered in a sticky substance!!! The plant,in my opinion, needs pruning to the ground.
