Fisherman's Cot, Tiverton by Marston's Inns

Location was beautiful. Room clean. Food good and staff.

Stayed in room 14 and could hear talking on the phone and tv from next room until gone 11pm recommend earplugs if you have to be up early.

Good location for my needs

Temperature control was crazy. Either freezing cold or too hot No window to open Tired decoration

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful . Breakfast was excellent , dinner good but not excellent . Room was warm and comfortable . Grounds and location were exceptional

Some areas of hotel were a bit tired and needed repair , dusting , deep cleaning or redecoration.

Couldn't fault the lovely setting right on the River Exe. Good size car park - free. Bar and dining area has table that look out over the river and there's a large garden with picnic style tables as well as a covered seating area. Can book food and drinks with the app/online, or waitered service in restaurant. Tea/coffee in room and satellite TV. Large. comfy bed.

Checked in online but there was still a bit of a faff at reception. Room was up narrow stairs – not easy with suitcases or if less mobile. Big extractors from kitchen were noisy until the kitchen closed and started up early. No loo brush O..O Nowhere to stand a suitcase. No heating in bathroom. The whole place is tired and really needs some TLC and a good makeover. Having said all that, we would stay again, just for the setting, but maybe not in the high season.

Staff polite and friendly. Room was very close to car park which is as requested. Room was large and comfortable

Fish and chips was ordered - Fish was inedible. Bathroom was quite 'grubby'. Did not seem to have been cleaned too well. Floor was 'sticky'

Rooms in need of decoration. Broken toilet seat. Pull cord in bathroom needs to be changed. Shower leaking.
