Baymont Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Near Downtown

No towels, faucet was broken, water in the wash basin did not drain, carpets were wet, wifi did not work, poor breakfast

This hotel doesn't deserve a 1 star. DO NOT STAY HERE. This is the nastiest hotel I have ever been in. They advertise a hot tub which they do NOT have. The pool is disgusting and the concrete is moldy. The pool area does not look like it has been cleaned in years. If you have allergies beware as the pool area stinks of mold/mildew. Room was filthy. Baseboards falling off the walls. Bathroom has moldy grout around the tub. Tub is stained and a steady stream of water running from the tub that could not be shut off. The balcony was nothing but a weedy area outside the sliding door with a bench and tons of cigarette butts covering the ground. Lamps did t have light bulbs. I would sleep in my car before sleeping in this dive. Upon being told by the hotel manager we could cancel our 2nd night without a charge we have been trying to get a refund for over 3 weeks and the hotel manager answers the call and hangs up once he knows what the call is in regards to.

The carpeting in the hallways was filthy. You could see dirt tracks come from the elevators like they've never vacuum or shampoo the carpets. The rooms appear to be renovated but the tubs look like they were from the 1960s and dirty. There was homeless people loitering in the parking lot.

Did not feel safe. Didn’t even end up staying there a full hour. Do not recommend.

There was a roach crawling in the bathroom. The ice machine was broken on the 1st floor and we had to go to the 3rd floor. The breakfast was not continental, and the bagels were frozen. The pillows were ridiculously soft. This hotel needs a major update and cleaning.

Their representatives hung up on me twice when trying to set up an early check in. And the hotel did not answer the phone.

We checked in at two and checked out at three. The Baymont is actually the days inn, as They are the same property. The ceiling was falling apart. The bathtub was falling apart. And the floorboard under the toilet was leaking water. Absolutely disgusting I would not recommend.

It was nice having an indoor pool to swim. It was a short drive to the Van Andel Arena. But the breakfast could’ve been better.

This is so awful. There were bullets in the parking lot, the windows don’t close and lock. The air conditioner didn’t work. They would not move us to another room. So we went to another hotel.
