This place seems to call themselves a 3-star hotel and I think that’s way too generous. This is unlike any of 3-star hotel I’ve stayed at (and not in a good way). It’s rundown and didn’t feel clean or well-maintained. I appreciate that it’s a value property but I think it needs to be considered a 1.5 star (and nothing higher) in order to properly set expectations. I booked/paid based on the rating and pictures and I strongly regret that decision. By the time we arrived from a 6-hour drive, it was too late to get our money back. Poor lighting outside (so we weren’t sure if our car and Uhaul were safe), rickety elevator and luggage cart, and a semi-clean room that smelled and felt musty. What a bummer. Be sure to take time to read the reviews. I would have saved myself a lot of worry and disappointment if I had known this is actually a 1ish star property.

Well it's a nice place inside. But you pull in the lot and you think it's in the hood. I was afraid of tearing up the underside of the car. I was a little concerned when I was told that they had bad case of bed bugs.

Everything was fine. They did let us check in early but we had to wait quite a while for someone at the front desk. There was no one at the desk when we checked out. The young man that was cleaning rooms was able to answer our questions--he was very friendly!

"Recommend for budget"

Let's get real. For the price this is probably one of the nicest hotels you can stay at in Salina with working WiFi and cable. Pool, bar, working room phone? No. Yes it's old and the coffee pot is in the bathroom, but who cares. The staff is very friendly and keeps the place clean considering it's size and age. Only an idiot would compare this to a hotel costing 3x as much.

The bed was comfortable. The room was humid which left everything damp. They have a indoor pool that hasn’t worked in who knows how long and their breakfast was lacking anything basic at best

"For $50 - you get what you pay for."

8.0

The hotel is pretty decrepit - but very clean. However, because of the sever humidity and the fact that there was no AC turned on in my room - everything felt damp. All night. But good, friendly service and decent breakfast. For $50 - it's still a deal.

It was very unique...sadly the pool wasnt in order...you can tell it is just a shell of the glory it once was. Kinda sad. Behind the hotel is kinda a sketchy neighborhood. But it was good for the price and even included breakfast. We did have our phone strangely go off multiple times in the night.....

"Kind if Creepy...."

Probably fabulous conference center in it's time, but pretty much old and abandoned now. Only saw 2 other guests. Had a very "moldy" smell. Woke up to the feeling of bug bites but couldn't find any bugs. Staff was excellent.

"Do not stay here, please. "

2.0

Do not be fooled, this hotel is cheap and dirty. Thought this was just a good deal on Hotels.com, but it’s just cheap. Looks like an abandoned hotel from the outside and same from the inside, except for the screaming kids playing outside your door at 5:00 am that aren’t quieted by any staff. Door locks don’t work and the rooms smell of mildew. Walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything from one room to the other, or from the central atrium where guests are walking by.

"No desk clerk"

4.0

Hotel was dirty and had a terrible mildew/stale odor. Couldn’t sleep in the bed because when I laid on it, I began itching all over. Not sure if I had a sensitivity to their detergents, never happened at other hotels I had stayed at before. Checking out, I waited for 40 minutes, sign at the desk stated the clerk was cleaning the breakfast area, I walked to the breakfast area twice during those 40 minutes and nobody was there, I ended up leaving my key cards on the desk for someone to find eventually.
