Shout out to Lucy and Stanley! You guys were amazing, and so very helpful. The accomodation was beautiful, food was good and service was top notch! The door to door service to and from the Great Wall was exactly what we needed and made our trip there that much better. It really was a retreat! And the staff really do go the extra mile :)

This place is serene. One can really have a quiet and good rest here. One of my best sleep ever away from the hustle and bustle from the city. Highly recommended. Roger has been very helpful and sincere. He is a treasure to the hotel.

General: Beautiful architecture, with great service and amazing food. Hotel provided a free transport to and from the Mutianyu Great Wall. Highly recommended to walk along the Great Wall and to sit the toboggan down. For those who enjoy hiking they should try hiking up from Bei Gou village where the Brickyard Retreat is located to the beginning of the Jiankou part of the Great Wall. Service: The concierge and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and eager to serve. They created a very warm and comfortable environment for our stay. Food: We were amazed by the breakfast every day, which served both western and Chinese staples. All the ingredients were fresh and the cooking was excellent. Special mention to the wedges, hash browns and sweet potato fries that were nicely crisp on the outside whilst being moist on the inside. They served freshly cooked traditional dumplings and Rou Jia Mo as well as fresh handmade Chinese paos, and they were all excellent. These are just some examples. Room: We stayed in the Stone Forest villa and the rooms were comfortable. Heating worked well and there was also a fireplace. Especially loved the architecture.

It was a lovely stay. 1. Cozy experience, great people, away from the city hustle bustle. 2. Amazing head chef: He treated us like we are his family. We had specific dietary requirements (Indian vegetarian). He cooked special dishes for us in the breakfast buffet. The special meal charges were also super reasonable 3. Close to the Great Wall 4. The hotel is in a small village - head there if you would like leisurely walks and relaxation. Don't expect great amenities that a city hotel would offer. There is however a TV/video room, board game room, etc. 5.The starry sky is just awesome. 6. There is a Chinese hot pot restaurant near the hotel. They can do a lot of customized dishes for you if you can manage the language translation.
