Stonetrail

Location was great. We rented a car for the duration of our stay so were able to access supermarkets for food shopping and get around the island easily. Indian Bay beach is literally a 2-min walk, which our kids absolutely loved. We walked along the beach to where the water is calmer and so clear! The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Mostly liked the layout of the villa as it was family orientated. Cooking facilities were good; great selection of utensils etc. There was also a gazebo which we used frequently in the evenings. This was a nice space to sit outside and relax. There is a lovely breeze in the evenings. Towels and bedding were changed every two days but the staff were also happy to change these upon request. Would stay again if the villa's are updated a bit as the location was perfect.

I didn't like the half hotel/half air B&B vibe. As the staff provide cleaning and laundry services you are reliant on them to clean and can't do any laundry. I would have like at least a dust pan and brush to clean up after ourselves when returning from the beach. I think some of the villa's are being updated as ours was a bit older. For example, the shower in our villa was also outdated and hard to use with children as it was not a proper hose shower and the hot water didn't get hot enough, the main door was also tricky to lock. Unfortunately we also had several issues during our stay such as the gas container running out, water turned off and no electricity for the last day of our stay. While these issues are things that can happen, my main concern was that there is no 24-hour service therefore when the electricity went out in the evening we had nobody to contact and had to wait until our missed calls were seen the next morning when the staff arrived. I feel that this is quite a big issue as if anything happens after 7pm there is no way to get hold of anyone which means you have to wait until the next day to receive help. Apart from use of another villa to shower and get ready in, we were not offered a refund or anything for the day of lost electricity on our second to last day. All of our frozen goods and some things that we wanted to bring back with us had to be binned due to the lack of electricity. Lastly, there are ongoing construction works from 8am to 4pm, 6 days a week. This was not mentioned prior to booking and we were only informed when we checked in. Again, this is something that should be advertised so that people can decide if this is something they want to endure and not told at the last minute when they are checking in.

Property is very convenient to airport & public transportation. Staff are very friendly & helpful. They are available as needed and quick to respond to any questions, though out of sight and don’t overwhelm you. This is not a beachfront property with loungers, umbrellas and folks refilling your drinks, but the beach is a quick convenient under five minutes walk away. It is public, but I found it mostly empty each morning around 8am: my swim time. They are currently under construction, which did not bother me one bit, the noise was very minimal. The work is to add a restaurant and spa on the site which will be excellent and convenient as dining options are located elsewhere. La Vue was an easily accessible choice for dining or with a quick walk or transport more options are available. The supermarket and a convenient store are nearby. I was connected with a local taxi driver who took me around for a surcharge and he was as great as the staff members, he’s knowledgeable on the area, friendly and patient. We visited the Water Falls and I had it to my self for about 2 hours before others arrived, meditation at its best! This was my first solo trip, I felt fairly safe while being cautious and vigilant. My first visit to SVG, but prayerfully, not my last. I hope to return once the construction at this property is complete so I can experience the spa and new restaurant, as well as bask once again in the same peace and tranquility I experienced during this stay.

It’s a great location. Doesn’t look like it upon entry as it’s not right on the water. But down a small street and in less than 2 minutes you’re right on the local beach. There is currently no restaurant on site (they are renovating so this may change), but it’s a 5 minute walk up the street to a boutique hotel that has great food and beach club. The room was very clean and air conditioned. It was also a very spacious one bedroom with full kitchen and a small living room area. The staff was lovely and always checking in on me. I was traveling alone and felt very welcomed, safe and cared for. You will need transport to venture out, as it’s not close to many shops etc, but staff was great at connecting you with amazing local taxi men in the area. This is a fantastic property with generally good location about 15 minute walk to strip of restaurants in Villa. Staff were generally nice however as someone who generally prefers solitude when staying at a hotel, I found the rules and service a bit intrusive at times.

Great play to stay and relax

Awesome place to stay!

Stonetrail Villas turned out to be the best choice I could have made when selecting a hotel for our visit to St. Vincent. The villa we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The location is great for city bus access and a short walk to the beach. The staff is also wonderful and attentive. I would definitely return!

Unit was not a villa, but a suite within a two storey building. Kitchen was well equipped but lacked a few essentials as well as a dining table with chairs. Difficult to self-cater without a car as there were no nearby food stores. Excellent restaurant 10 minute walk out to the point (La Vue). Can also walk to Villa Beach along the beach (with a slight uphill section along a side street) where there are several hotel restaurants. Beach there is however quite ugly. Best part of staying at Stonetrail was the staff. Melissa, especially, was very helpful and friendly.

Lack of a restaurant. Would have preferred a stand-alone villa. Closest beach was too rough and rocky for swimming.

The houses are a nice concept, and the owner invested a lot in guests' comfort. To some extent, it is an oasis in one completely poorly governed country.

If you like to walk it is a little adventurous. People on the island are the kindest of the all Caribbean countries I visited, but the neighborhood is not easily and nicely walkable.

The environment was welcoming, my 3year old loved playing outside. It was like a home away from home. Staff were so nice and accommodating! Oh and the beach was literally a 2minutes walk with a 3yr old,

Mmm hard to say, the lack of a power gate. That would have been the perfect touch. But even that was not an issue, great place to stay
