Giovannella hat uns regelrecht mit ihre Fürsorge und Kochkünsten verwöhnt. Der Ort ist eine Ruheoase für die Seele. Die drei Tage, die wir im Trullo verbracht haben, waren ein Traum. Wir fühlten uns wie zu Hause und haben in Giovannella und Guisuppe neue Freunde gefunden.

Amazing hosts, Giovanella was exceptional, the place beautiful, clean, caring; they did everything to have us comfortable and happy, the most beautiful gardens too. We would recommend without reservation

If I could give 16 stars, I would. Giovanella and Giuseppe are extraordinary hosts. Each meal is a gift from the heart. I love the beauty, the quiet, the feeling that this is a real farm and Masseria set in one of the most beautiful places ever. The food! Giovannella is a master chef and instructor. A most wonderful vacation I think I’ve ever taken, and I’ve traveled the world. It is a great location to see all the unique architecture and culture of neighboring towns all within an easy drive. I am already planning my next visit, this time with my extended family!

De Masseria is zeer rustig gelegen. Verzorging door Giovannella en Susan was ontzettend vriendelijk en het ontbijt was iedere ochtend feest met een heerlijke proeverij van brood en taart. De luxe suite is enorm ruim, stil en goed voorzien.

When we visit a country we go, (as should everyone) for the culture, the history & to enjoy & appreciate all that it has to offer. This stay offered all that in buckets! The setting was beautiful. Set in open farmland &surrounded by trees, it was a delight to sit outside listening to nature, watching the birds & just relaxing. The pool is discretely hidden at the side of property- a delight to plunge into at the end of a busy day out exploring this wonderful region. Giovannella could not have done more to make our stay exceptional. Breakfasts on the terrace were a feast of amazing homemade specialities made with love. Each day brought some new delights with different varieties of breads, cakes, croissants & charcuterie & cheeses. Perfect start to the perfect day to come. She helped with places to go to, where to park, what to do & even arranged some things on our behalf. This was the perfect stay. It will remain a truly special memory for us both. Thank you Giovannella for everything you did to make it so very special.

Masseria Battaglini (the estate) is beautifully situated. It's peaceful and quiet. The housekeeper (Susan) is lovely, friendly, and hospitable. She makes sure your stay is pleasant and enjoyable. She makes sure the rooms are tidy and the beds are made up every day. And she serves an excellent breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, cake, and pastries daily. You'll feel the hospitality she provides. The Maitre de Maison, despite her character (see below) really knows how to bake and provide a delicious breakfast.

There are certainly points that make the stay uncomfortable and less appealing: ACCOMMODATION We booked the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Apartment. This is advertised on Booking.com as consisting of one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with an extra-large double bed, and a living room with a sofa bed. What you actually get is only one bedroom with a double bed and a living room with a sofa bed. And even though the word "apartment" suggests there is a kitchenette, this is not the case. So you do NOT get what you actually book. The landlady unjustifiably blames Booking.com for this misinformation. MISLEADING! ACCOMMODATION - PRIVACY The accommodation is very old. That's part of its charm. However, the floor on the first floor (the ceiling of the accommodation we booked) is made of planks, that not soundproof. You can literally hear what's being discussed in the room above and hear every step because of the creaking noise. Also very unpleasant: there are cracks in the wooden planks, through which you can see into the room below. And then there's the glass panel on the first floor, making it able look into the room below as if it were a diorama. Extremely unpleasant. These rooms can be booked separately, even by different guests. We think this shouldn't be possible. Not soundproof, and it's a privacy issue. In short: Thourougly check what you're booking! MAITRE DE MAISON The owner (the Maitre de Maison) is a proud Landlady. Too proud, in fact. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome, but it soon became clear that she rules the estate with an uncomfortably demanding manner. When we wanted to discuss our legitimate complaints about the accommodation we had booked, her attitude changed. We couldn't do anything right anymore, and all sorts of accusations were made against us as bad guests. I guess some people are just too proud and headstrong to admit shortcomings and to understand the concept of contemporary hospitality.

Una experiencia maravillosa muy muy recomendable. Te sientes en casa con Giovanella, Giuseppe y Susan. El entorno, las estancias, las recomendaciones, el desayuno, ese agua con menta reconfortante, todo muy cuidado y en un marco incomparable. Ah, y por supuesto esos dos perritos tan guapísimos que tienen y que salen siempre a recibirte y saludar, una maravilla todo en conjunto perfecto. Para repetir siempre. GRACIAS familia !!!!!

Wonderful location and views across the fields.

Restaurant was shut and we wasn’t informed in advance until I asked if we needed to reserve the day before arriving. This took away the whole experience of staying in a Masseria as for us after 4 days of visiting other areas of Puglia we wanted to unwind and relax without the need for going out for dinner. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case and had we known in advance we would have cancelled the booking and stayed elsewhere. Owner did arrange for a driver to take us into Martina Franca but at a cost of 50 euros so an added expense due to the restaurant being closed.

We loved the location and peaceful setting with great views. But best of all Guiseppe, Giovannella and Susan they made our stay just amazing. Great breakfast and anything you want to know they are always available to help.

Das Trullihaus war großzügig und sehr schön eingerichtet, wir haben selbstgebackene Köstlichkeiten und Obst zur Begrüßung erhalten. Giovanella ist eine äußerst sympathische liebe Gastgeberin die einem jeden Wunsch versucht zu erfüllen. Sie hat tolle Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und hat uns den Urlaub zum Highlight gemacht! Vielen Dank dafür.😍 Das Frühstück ist toll, jeden Tag frisch gebackenes Brot und landestypisches Gebäck. Alle Beschäftigten sind super freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Es gibt zwei Hunde dort. 😍😘

Bad und Küche sind etwas klein wenn man das Trulli zu viert mieten würde.
