3 night stay for a business conference, I used the shuttle service from IAH and Michael L was awesome, seemed like I just walked out the door and he literally just pulled up. Perfect timing and very friendly.

"The Cairo, IL of hotels (Built for greatness and then fallen on hard times)"

Near-ish to the airport. There was a pool.

Staff were unfriendly, misinformed (I was told wrong information about the airport shuttle) and not helpful. Outdoor pool hadn't been cleaned and was filled with leaves, bugs, and trash. Food was sub-par and expensive. Room and hallways were dark and musty. Great hall / venue space seemed like it had been built for greatness and then abandoned - it was 80% empty. Most of the surrounding buildings in the neighborhood were abandoned - including a massive abandoned mall across the street. I had lots of luggage and 2 kids and staff didn't offer to help me. Staff and building had a sense of being on hospice.

I took the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and had Mr Michael L. As a driver. Hands down the BEST customer service I received in a long time . Explained what the plan was assisted with bags. He needs to train all incoming staff! Thank you Una B.
