The Westin San Antonio North

We love the feeling of this property. It’s warm and comfortable and not cold and modern. We’re tired of all the cold modern hotels that have no interest in them just ugly, white and gray. That’s why we stay at the Western in San Antonio North whenever we are in town which is usually about a dozen times a year.

A little snack bar would be nice but we can get a soda water or drink if needed. Pack your snacks and an extra bottle of water

There are good things and bad things about this hotel. However, no one likes to fill ripped off when they stay anywhere and unfortunately that is the big takeaway of our experience. We were double-charged on parking - by both the hotel and the parking company. We were promised multiple times that the double charge would be removed but the hotel has not delivered on this promise, unfortunately leaving a bad taste in our mouth. What's worse is that the front desk can easily have you fill out a form when you arrive and prevent this from happening but they are too lazy to actually do it and would rather have you mess with the parking company on your own. Some good things: it has an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. Bad things - cleanliness does not appear to be a priority of these pools. I'm not the sort to leave bad reviews but getting ripped off takes any of the joy out of staying there.

I liked that the gym was right in front of the pool and that there was a sauna. The Gym was impressive for a hotel.

Light in the room was a little flickery.
