2417 at Lihue Oceanfront Resort

The resort was very close to the airport and beautifully located by water. Bars and restaurants had great food!

The bed did not feel very comfortable and the bathroom was not clean when we got there. It was cleaned later on though.

Beautiful pools, beach too. Great location for the island. The front door bell staff was very friendly and helpful, plus the weekend concierge was great.

The location is great. The gardens are pretty and the pool area is nice and large. A smaller pool with a sandy "beach" was a nice touch for the little ones. Breakfast staff, Holly and Frank, were extra nice and friendly. They were the only ones though. Easy to get to and from the airport and to other parts of the island. The gated parking lot was nearby, not too far to walk.

The staff members, exceot for Holly and Frank in the morning, were disinterested, a bit rude, and/or seemed put out when we asked questions. The chairs at the pool need upgrading in that they are a mismatches of rundown chairs. The dinner seemed over-priced and was the only meal on our trip that wasn't good or worth the money. We found all the other options in the area to be very good. Several lights were out or blinking in our room. We told the checkout staff at the end and she never said thank you. I assume the next people will have the same issue. Regular upkeep was lacking. The beach view is nice but know that it's rocky and not a good swimming beach.

Liked the privacy and relaxation of the site. Everything you needed and good location for day trips

Bed springs poking us in our sides all night, beds definitely worn out. Fridge didn’t work correctly resulting in Luke warm drinks. Room door was unsafe. As the automatic shut shock was hair triggered and slammed both my wife and I into the door jam. However, I am grateful for the stay, staff and the overall facility. Blessed to experience the adventure and beautiful journey. Loved all of the people.

The property was beautiful and the location was great

The only issue we have was the temperature of our room. In the evening we couldn’t keep our patio door open to let any air into our room because we were above the resort entrance which was active all night with people coming and going along with people gathering and talking. The evenings were pretty uncomfortable because our room had no airflow, no fan, and no air conditioning. It would have been so much better if we would have just had a fan to circulate the air in the room at night.
