It's an easy walk to Foggy Bottom Metro station. The hotel is nice and the staff were all excellent. It's a nice hotel that's just showing a bit of age. I would stay here again though. I LOVED the size of the room! It was so relaxing after a long day, to be able to hang out in the living room instead of cramming everything into a small bedroom.

The wallpaper was starting to bubble. The bathroom lighting was terrible for putting on makeup. There were a few stains and snags in the carpet. Just needs a little refurbishment.

Well decorated, clean, warm and feel like home. Great breakfast!

Our famimy booked 2 rooms online and arrived during late evening with a young child and an infant. We were told there was only one room booked despite we have booking confirmation showing 2 rooms. The reception lady refused to look at our record and insisted she only trust the hotel computer system which showed one room being booked only. She even stopped her junior colleague from trying to help us. She was stone-cold and unwelcoming throughout. After half an hour, she finally found out our booking was indeed for two rooms. Only then room keys were passed to us without a word of apology, after a delay of more than 30 minutes. It was most unplasant experience after long travel journey with young children and being held back unreasonably at the reception counter.To be fair, every staff we met at the hotel were great during our 4 nights stay at the hotel except one who checked us in.

Historic resort spacious room and awesome breakfast although a little bit expensive
