Great location for getting places around Clean room and hotel

The breakfast was very good. Patsy took care of anything we needed. She was very kind. There was a little nook area off the first floor hallway. I loved that area, very private.

Good location

I booked a room at booking.com and paid for it $128. I was charged again at the property for the room $125 and security deposit $50. During checkout I requested a receipt for my stay. I was told they can not print it out, because it was booking.com and the security deposit if $50 has been already refunded. When I arrived home I checked my credit card charges. Security deposit has been refunded, but I just learnt that there is a charge for a room of $125. I was charged a fee for a room I booked and paid through booking.com. I called hotel for clarification and I was hung up on 3 times. I will not be using Hampton Inn in the future, because of very bad customer service. Murfreesboro is our overnight stop on the way from FL to IL. It was first and last time booking Hampton. Last few years we stayed at Hilton Garden and the customer service was excellent and the rooms were always super clean. Hampton does not even care about basic cleaning before offering the room to the next guest. I would expect having towels for 4 guests (room has been booked for 4) and toilet to be clean... There are better choices out there than this hotel.

Where to start. I requested a fully equipped handicapped room for my 91 year-old parents and they assigned them to just a hearing impaired room. Since we were only there for one night, I didn't request reassignment. When we arrived the desk clerk and another employee were having a lengthy conversation and it took several minutes before he even noticed me. After I arrived at my floor, I noticed that housekeeping was still making up rooms at 4:30 pm which I thought was odd. The kitchenette sink in my parents' room began spraying water all over the floor when turned on. After calling the front desk, they (and their luggage) were moved to another room (still not fully handicapped equipped). I find it hard to believe the front desk did not know about this problem already. Upon checkout, there was nobody at the front desk. There were two gentlemen waiting to check out. I wanted to tell the front desk clerk about the loose metal piece on the bed in my parents' room that had cut my father's leg. There was a lady from housekeeping there who said she would tell management. I told her I wanted to wait for a printed receipt. She kept telling me that I could leave the keys and receipts would be emailed. I'm well aware of that but since the stay had not gone well, I wanted to wait. After waiting nearly 10 minutes, a young woman finally strolled over. She wasn't wearing a nametag, so I don't know her name. I told her about my Dad's cut and she just gave me a blank stare. I think I had to tell her three times the room numbers I needed receipts for. She also never apologized for our issues. I took the manager's card and will be emailing management about these issues. Lastly, the mattress in my room was very uncomfortable. One of the gentlemen also waiting for the desk clerk at checkout said the same thing. He said he finally gave up and got up at 3:00. We were both commiserating about the poor service and visit. I will never understand why hotels cannot provide the specific type of room reserved. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the breakfast buffet was ok and the lady working there was very nice and friendly. The location is very convenient for a number of good restaurants.

Pattie from the front desk was incredibly Kind, helpful, and professional. Made our trip delightful! We had other family stay down the street at a different lodging and were disappointed. I’m glad I did my research. This was the best decision!
