Omni La Mansion del Rio

We were literally right on the Riverwalk. Excellent for people watching close to dozens of great restaurants. 10 minutes walk to the Alamo. Parking fees excessive.

Beautiful location on the River Walk, near the center of the main tourist areas, easy walking to almost everything. Elegant architecture and comfortable appointments, with a few quibbles. At this price range it is odd to find paper cups in the room, and the bathroom has no place to hang wet towels. The balcony is shared with 2 other rooms, which was not a problem, but the chairs get very uncomfortable after a half hour or so. We opted for a first floor room, which affords a great view of the river walk but can get noisy during peak hours. With the door closed it did not bother us, even on the weekend. Housekeeping is efficient; the room was quite clean.

Very slow elevator

Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted and were made to feel like we were welcomed. The staff at check in was very friendly and so accommodating. We were there for our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special. The staff even surprised us with champagne and pastries that said Happy Anniversary on them. The beds and the linens were so comfortable. The size of the room was bigger than I expected it to be. It was very roomy and comfortable. We had a balcony which overlooked the riverwalk that had a beautiful view. The bathroom was super clean, and it had an amazing shower. We loved the location because we were close to everything. We ordered room service and the food tasted great and the portions were more than we had expected. We did use the valet, and the staff were so friendly, and we did not have to wait long to get our car when it was time to leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that was thinking of staying in San Antonio. I have stayed at several hotels on the riverwalk this hotel was the best out of them all so far.

We did not have a microwave in the room.

Unique and great location

great location, right on the liveliest part of the Riverwalk. Very helpful front desk staff. Very clean room. Quiet room on the courtyard side. Helpful and friendly valet attendants.

Hotel coffee shop (El Colegio) was overpriced, had limited selections, and the staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested in serving the guests.
