Although on Tripadvisor, the reviews seemed good and the hotel claims to be five star, we were very disappointed in the quality and condition of our accommodations for the price that we paid. We had a suite for over US$1000 per night. The suite had bare walls, damaged, inexpensive, furniture, and the general facilities/hallways leading to our room were in disrepair. We spoke to the manager about our concerns. Although he was very cordial and professional, he stated that the entire facility was slated to be remodeled in January 2027. Although he offered us a change of rooms, knowing that all the rooms needed to be remodeled, we declined his offer, and found other accommodations that were more in line with the value/quality that we expect. We would recommend that you not stay at this hotel until they have completely finished their remodel and have received positive review.

Selten hat man die Gelegenheit in einem so historisch bedeutendem Hotel übernachten zu können. Richard Wagner hat hier mehrere Monate verbracht und Teile aus seiner Oper "Parsifal" komponiert, und kein Wunder, ist es ein fantastisches Hotel, wo man gerne seine Zeit verbringt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet (sehr leckere scrambled eggs und auch Lachs). Lage war sehr gut, nahe zum Teatro Massimo, der grössten Oper in Italien und drittgrösste in Europa. Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt und kommen nächstes Mal sicher wieder.
