Villa Limon Hotel Boutique

Villa Limon is right in the heart of centro within walking distance of most of the desired locations. The hotel is quite stylish with a beautiful rooftop restaurant and rooms with old world charm. Don’t take that to mean that it’s dated. The rooms have all the modern amenities you could want just with the craftsmanship of Mexico from another era. This hotel is a great value. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

The Villa is small in terms of accommodation which is a distinct advantage as it tends to be very quiet and relaxed. It has a lot of character being in the old city and close to the main attractions. The rooms are generally comfortable,but steps up to ours (Genoa) are very steep. However the staff are very helpful in assisting with bags.The bed was also comfortable,the room well equipped,but again,with stairs actually in the room,one had to be a careful moving around it. The bathroom looked great but had a number of poor design features. The basins (long and shallow) were practically impossible to wash in. Only one and a half inchs deep.Shaving resulted in water all over the floor.,the shower door would not close properly and there were no glasses to hold tooth brushes,etc However the overall exprience was good and the issues could be solved very easily..

Second stay during our trip to the colonial cities north of Mexico City and we booked again because we enjoyed the hotel and staff and convenience of easy walking to the Centro Historico during our first stay.

I didn’t like the idea of staying at a second floor and carrying all my luggage through stairs, as well as when you arrive to hotel to many stairs to enter, but hotel is very nice!

The included breakfast was great--Carla was so sweet and attentive each morning. The hotel is in a good location--very walkable to the square and other sites. Our room was quieter than some, but there were plumbing issues on 2 of the 4 days we were there. That was annoying and inconvenient.
