Comfortable, clean, restful, a fine overnight stay.

A bit hard to find. Very good stay. Would appreciate a coffee option in the room since I missed the breakfast that closed at 9:00 am.

The location was handy off of Interstate 95, The room was clean, but that is it, the beds were AWFUL!! you coudn't move with out them making horrible sounds and they were god-awful uncomfortable, our door had a huge gap in the it that let the cold in.

RUN! An animal doesn’t even deserve to stay here in the condition that this place is in. On New Year’s Day, myself and my two young children decided to spend the night here after traveling back north from Florida after the holiday. The location is right over the North Carolina and Virginia border so we thought that this was a convenient place to stay as it was right off the highway, and we would only be spending one night there and continuing our travels the next day. I thought it really couldn’t be that bad for the price, but boy, was I wrong! Upon check-in, the Indian woman who checked me in was extremely rude and unpersonable. The office is not attached to the hotel rooms and you have to drive around in order to get to your room. On the way to our room, there was nothing but weed smoke in the air and a bunch of young thugs and drug dealers prowling the area. That was the first red flag, we felt extremely unsafe. Once we got into our room, which didn’t seem too bad at first, I looked on the ground, and there were three dead cockroaches. Immediate second red flag—where there is 1 roach, there are hundreds more. Bed linens had stains and I am more than positive based on the careless and negligent conditions that there were bedbugs present. I went to wash my hands in the sink before leaving the room and the pipe underneath the sink was leaking all over the ground creating a clear liability and hazard to myself and children. Had I not realized it was leaking, we could have slipped and fallen and gotten seriously hurt. I then opened the shower curtain to see hair all over the shower. There was also about an inch of a gap between the door to the hotel room and the ground making it easy for somebody to stick their hand underneath the door or for other creatures to get in. I immediately called the front desk from my cell phone and advised them of this abomination. A male answered the phone and told me that there are bugs because the room is “exposed to the outside“. Anybody with a working brain knows that cockroaches don’t just come in from outside, they are conjured by uncleanly people and uncleanly and neglected conditions. This whole situation lasted less than five minutes, and I went to the front desk and told them I wanted a refund and I would rather sleep in my car or go to a different hotel with my children as this is not a suitable place for anybody to stay, not even for a night. Since I booked with booking.com, he told me I would have to contact them to get a refund. I called booking.com and advised them of this abomination and they told me the hotel is responsible for the refund, not them. The same male who answered the phone told me he would be approving a refund AND he told the representative from booking.com that I was going to be refunded. They stated the manager would have to sign off on it the next day. Today is now January 4th and I still have not received a refund. I received an email from booking.com today letting me know that they have not heard from this facility despite outreach and a verbal agreement which has been documented on a recorded phone call. I also took videos of my interactions with the front desk male & videos of the room they put my family and I in. I have consulted with an attorney from the state of Virginia over this situation and they advised me that I do have a case against this establishment if my refund is not processed. If my refund is not handled in a timely fashion, I will be reporting them to the health department and escalating the situation as high as it can go. The lack of attention and carelessness exerted to such a serious situation is shameful. This place should be condemned and shut down. I don’t even think prisons have conditions such as these yet this place is charging people to stay in a dump knowing the unsanitary and unsafe conditions. I didn’t even get an apology from any staff member throughout this entire process, let alone a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Go to the Holiday Inn around the corner if you’re looking for a good place to rest your head for a night.
