It was dirty.

Breakfast was ample, even close to its conclusion time. Loved the fried apples! Kind and helpful staff everywhere. Comfortable rooms.

The woman at the front desk as well as the ladies assisting with breakfast were all very friendly.

The original 3rd floor room we had upon checking in had at least a dozen dead bugs on the windowsill. If something as easy as the windowsill isn't cleaned, what else hasn't been cleaned? The front desk was apologetic and assigned a new room on the 5th floor. The carpets outside the elevator on floor 5 and down the hall looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in some time as debris and dirt littered the carpet. The last straw was the lack of hot water in the shower; I turned the water on and let the shower run for 2-3 minutes thinking the water would warm up. It did not! I took mostly a cold shower until the very end when it finally did warm up...which was probably 7-8 minutes after turning the water on to begin with. On a separate note, the hotel had inflated their prices the weekend of our stay because of the "College for a Weekend" program at Liberty University. I understand the dynamics of supply and demand (greater demand for hotel rooms means higher nightly rate) but paying $175 per night for this experience was infuriating, especially when a similar Sat night stay at this same property in 2 weeks only cost $125 per night.
